GENERATOR SET FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST (SAT) PROCEDURE
This Engine setup and check shall be conducted by Caterpillar authorized personnel
before starting the engine:
1. Check air cleaner, turbo inlet for debris. Clean the debris and dust as
required. Inspect if any water in the air cleaner housing. Clean up the
water and dry up to prevent engine damage
2. Check fuel system temporary connection. Perform inspection to identify
piping and flexible connection has been connected properly. Make sure
no fuel leakage along the pipe, perform inspection nearby fuel piping
and engine
3. Perform visual check on cooling system. Inspect water coolant, add if
necessary
4. Perform visual inspection on engine breather system. Connect a
temporary flexible pipe to engine breather system and run it to the
waste point
5. Perform visual inspection on exhaust pipe connection, make sure there
is no weight pressure on the flexible fitting
6. Visual check on temporary cable connected between generator set,
control panel and measuring devices
7. Connect temporary 24 VDC batteries to engine starting motor
8. Make sure Local Control Panel (GCP) display is working
9. Connect temporary cable from common busbar to load bank
10 Perform walk around inspection to identify any water and oil leakage. If
water or oil leakage is found, do remedial action as required.

VISUAL CHECK
Inspector shall conduct this Visual check by filling the Visual check form attached:
This Generator set Performance test shall conducted and recorded by Caterpillar
authorized personnel according to Caterpillar test form and to be witnessed by Inspector

11. After 48 hours test disconnect costumer LVMDB panel
12. Disconnect the ACB on each unit consecutively
13. All engine shall run in cool down mode for a few minute prior to
shutdown
