Team Charter – Group assignment

Names: Krisztina Czippan, Nyasha Samyn, Arnaud Dejond, Aglaja Sel

Team name: Artevelde’s Finest

1. Performance goals and individual member’s goals for personal growth

Performance goal: to achieve assertive communication within the team, always
submit the tasks within the deadlines, to work out assignments in the most effective
way possible, to thrive for excellence and to always be attentive to the others when a
problem occurs.

Krisztina’s goal: to become an active listener during group discussions

Nyasha’s goal: to always understand the meaning of every team member well
Arnaud’s goal: To communicate well with everyone at all time, to listen to each
person’s opinions and ideas during meetings, and that everyone understands what
they’re supposed to do during the assignments.
Aglaja’s goal: not to work on your own, but really together with the other team
members. To think out loud and discuss together can also help a lot for further
assignments

2. Team critical success factors

1. Challenge: agreeing on meeting times, because everybody has their own free
time filled up with activities, so sometimes it will be hard to find a mutual free
time to meet up
Solution: Flexibility. Everyone will have to adapt at some point or another,
everybody must also be willing to reschedule other activities.
2. Challenge: disagreement
Solution: Neutral team members should facilitate the resolution of the conflict.
Always try to understand the point of view of the other and be empathetic.
Behave as an adult.
3. Challenge: abscence
Solution: Letting each other know on time to avoid surprises. Willingness to keep
each other informed about what was stated that day and what the next steps are.
4. Challenge: handling negative feedback
Solution: Don’t blame anyone, we’re a group. Learn from our mistakes, but look
towards the future.
5. Challenge: someone is not able to meet deadlines, due to unforeseen
circumstances
Solution: Explain why, ask for particular help. On the other side, be willing to help
your team mate.
6. Challenge: technical difficulties (ex.: not able to print, no Wi-Fi, …)
Solution: Again, explain your group what happened. Search for a solution
together, on time. Turn to external help if needed.

3. Expected norms
- Communication is key – main platform of communication will be Facebook
Messenger and Arteveldemail
- Respect each others opinion – always listen to each other
- Each team member will be held accountable for all assignments of the team
- Being on time – respect deadlines
- Always check if everybody agrees with the outcome of the work you’ve done –
show / send your team members your work
