Reflection

In Wednesday 14 November 2018, I had my second teaching lesson and observation

with my MCT for grade one/F in Mubarak Bin Mohammed School. My lesson unite
was about Habitats of animals - To recognize the animal's habitats- where they live-
names of habitats. She gave me a feedback after observing me.
My MCT said that I have some strengths point; first, she said that I was using video
explaining the topic, asked questions to monitor students’ understanding, and
refreshing the students’ prior knowledge about the animal’s habitats. These
questions can let students to think and active in the lesson. The other points are the
same of the last lesson; are that I provided ongoing feedback to the children to
enhance their learning, the lesson activities were carefully structured and were
appropriate to the learners’ levels, and I distributed worksheets for the independent
student’s practice and was circulating around the classroom to make sure the
students were staying on the task.

However, My MCT said that I have some areas to development in this lesson. She
said, "The students were not well behaved and attentive to the teacher’s directions".
I must establish and maintain very clear classroom rules and routines for the
classroom behavior. The second point, students were not so enthusiastic and not
engaged in the lesson content. The lesson seemed to be boring for them. Next time I
should make something interesting to let them engage in the lesson.
