Reflection

In Thursday 15 November 2018, I had the third teaching lesson and observation with
my MST for grade one/E in Mubarak Bin Mohammed School. My lesson unite was
about Phonics/ spilling words – part 2 - To recognize meddle sound "I". She gave me
a feedback after observing me in the classroom in break time.
My MCT said that I have some strengths point; first, she said that I asked students
what words they already know to get prior knowledge. The second point that I
opened an interactive video for students, they engaged reading along to it. Also, she
said that I made interesting activities for them with their levels. For low groups I gave
them worksheet include pictures with key words below, and for high groups I gave
them worksheet include pictures with boxes and area for sentences. Finally, she said
that I worked well with individual groups at the tables and corrects students work;
missing letters form words, sentences.
However, My MST said that I have some areas to development in this lesson. She
said that I should stop saying "No/ Wrong answer" when the students answer my
questions wrong; however, I should say "good, but try again this not what I am
looking for". Other point, she asked me to keep my eyes on other students' behavior
and ensure they are on work when I am working with a group. In the last point she
asked me to remind ending the lesson by making review or a small assessment.
