Strengths of the lesson


- clear voice and good management skills
- used a range of activities (the books and the jar activity)
- established good relationships with the students and understands their
needs as she focused on the weak students and encouraged the excellent
ones.
- moved between tasks smoothly
Areas for development:
- needs to plan more carefully and think of designing more challenging
activities
- needs to work on timing and modelling the activity to make sure all the
students understood before starting doing it.

- Good classroom management strategies
- Moved between students and checked their writing and helped those who
needed help.

- Need to think more creatively to engage the students
- Need to vary her assessment techniques to evaluate students’ learning
outcomes
- Work on fostering students’ recognition skill by planning appropriate
activities.
- Use hands on activities and challenge students

- Think more critically about what she does in the class and try to
improve/change/replace it in the next class.

Strengths of the lesson:

- Reviewed letter Mm sound, how to write it and related words.


- Students were engaged and participated.
- Used the jar activity and that was a good opportunity for the students to
practise their recognition skills.

Areas for development:

- Needs to implement new activities and challenge the students more


- Needs to plan carefully and think of appropriate activities/resources for
special needs students.

- How can you do it better in the next session? What can you do to overcome
the difficulties you faced in this session? What are other teaching/learning

Strengths of the lesson:


- Good classroom management skills.
- Established good relationships with the students.
- Moved around to check students writing and knew exactly who needed help.
- Well prepared and varied your teaching and learning resources.
- Loved the egg activity (letter e) but you need to plan your lesson well, so you
can have time to do it with the students.

- Watch the video of how to write letter Ee before class time
- Allocate the appropriate time for each activity.

- Focus more while planning especially in terms of letter sounds and writing
the letter using the provided lines in the course book.
