GENERAL

MK Marine Services Ltd. specializes in ship design, marine engineering , new

building site supervision and consulting for over 6 years and is one of the leading marine
technical bureaus in Greece. The firm has developed specialized know-how, gained significant
experience with various types of vessels and currently extends its activities to cover most of the
fields of marine consulting services, from feasibility studies to the engineering package of a
complete vessel. Project management, master planning, building procedures, procurement,
coordination and supervision are also included amongst the services provided to its clients.

The technical staff of MK Marine Services Ltd. comprises Naval Architects and
Marine Engineers, Superintendent Engineers while several other marine surveyors,
specialists and experts are also employed. Furthermore, close ties are maintained with the
academic community. The firm also maintains a network of associates, naval architects and ship
surveyors, at major Greek ports and several other ports worldwide.

MK Marine Services Ltd. keeps abreast of developments in the marine industry and

Ship Design / New buildings & Conversions

The firm aims at developing a vessel which will satisfy the client’s requirements within the
given budget restrictions. To achieve this, use is made of the firm’s experience with numerous
newbuildings and conversions covering a wide range of vessel types such as General Cargo
Ships, Bulk Carriers, Product & Chemical Tankers, Container Vessels, Passenger Ships, Ro-Ro

Ferries, etc. The firm has undertaken the complete design, specification review and plan
approval of almost all types of tankers, container ships and bulk carriers. Numerous
conversions of single hull to double hull tankers, product to chemical tankers, bulk carriers to
tankers and tankers to ore / bulk carriers have also been successfully carried out. Services also
include preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, liaison with
the Classification Society and Flag Administration, etc. In the Mega-yacht sector the firm has
undertaken several new- buildings and demanding conversions.

The firm’s experienced surveyors are in a position to conduct almost all kinds of inspections on

Administrations to carry out Flag Safety Inspections. It cooperates with all major banks
involved in shipping and its reports are widely accepted. Furthermore, it is appointed as

MK Marine Services Ltd. has participated in various projects worldwide,

financial organizations, etc. In this respect, the firm has provided technical know-how and
expertise on issues covering marine research and development activities, as well as
management, coordination and exploitation of new fields in the marine transportation sector.

Incident investigations

MK Marine Services Ltd. has conducted various Incident / accident in vestigations

and root cause analyses on behalf of Shipping Companies, and Insurance Companies. The
firm’s investigation team consists of highly trained and qualified Master Mariners, Naval
Architects, Marine Engineers, and Legal Advisors. The team investigates marine incidents of
any magnitude in order to determine their circumstances and contributory causes, as well as to
draw lessons to be learned. The root causes of the incident are identified and recommendations
are made regarding the necessary improvements to a Company’s Management System in order
to avoid reoccurrence of similar events.
The firm also maintains an updated database of incidents, keeping its customers aware of
lessons learned through the circulation of Safety Bulletins.

Ship-Shore Interface / Vetting procedures

The firm has been appointed by various parties to survey and audit vessels. Services
