Photos by Karen Mitchell

Rylie and Hayden Davies visit with Santa during the Christmas
celebrations recently held in Sandy Lake.

By KAREN MITCHELL

T hursday, December 13th saw the first Sunrise Credit Union Christmas Celebration
held in Sandy Lake. The weather cooperated and with that brought several com-
munity members out for the special evening filled with sleigh rides, bonfire, hotdogs,
smores, coloring contest and pictures with Santa.
Proceeds from the evening were presented to the Christmas Cheer Board and all
proceeds from the Santa photos were donated to the Sandy Lake Playground Commit-
tee. The winner of the colouring contest and recipient of a stocking was Mila Bone.
“The community is the backbone of our business, without them we would not be
able to have events like this,” stated Conner Ross, Branch Manager, for Sandy Lake Sun-
rise Credit Union.
