-- Negative Imperative.

The Negative Imperative, expressing 'do not do such-and-such', is formed by adding

the suffix -È×» aade or -È×»õ´ -aadenga (polite) to the infinitive (see sec. §
below) of the verb.

ÂÀÔ×» varaade 'don't come'

ؽԴÔ×»õ´ poohaadenga 'please don't go'
´Â×Á ½¹Ô×» kavale padaade 'don't worry'
Éõ×´ âÚõ´Ô×»õ´ inge tuungaadenga 'please don't sleep here'

Occasionally, the prohibitive î¹Ôâ kuudaadu 'one must not, should not' [the
negative of the modals ÁÔ£ laam and ØÂᣠveenum is used to express the same notion
as the negative imperative:

⤽ î¹Ôâ! tuppa kuudaadu! 'Do not spit! '
