About the Department
The Civil Engineering program in
Panimalar Engineering College was
established in the year 2008 with a intake of
60students and it was increased to 120
students in 2009. At present it has been
increased to 180 students in 2016 with a
strong mission to provide excellent
infrastructure with high standards of
excellent education in the areas of Civil
Engineering .The department has 30 well
experienced and qualified faculties in various
specializations such as structural engineering,
soil mechanics, environmental engineering,
construction management and engineering
,Water resources engineering, Remote Sensing
and Geomatics etc .The department is
involved in various co-curricular and
extracurricular activities in research and
development in different fields of composite
concrete elements, cold formed steel, water
resources along with professional bodies.
About the FDTP Programme
The objectives of this programme are
to impart knowledge on the basis and
application of soil mechanics. To provide
opportunity for young teaches employed in
affiliated colleges of the Anna University to
upgrade their knowledge in the course of
CE6405-SOIL MECHANICS which is in IV
semester of B.E (Civil Engineering) Anna
university curriculum. The mode of delivery
of FDTP will be in lectures, tutorials, practical
and site visit in Panimalar Engineering
College.

23/11/2017. Registration forms also

Eligibility
This FDTP is designed for faculty
members of engineering colleges approved by
AICTE and affiliated to Anna University,
Chennai. Limited participants are allowed
(restricted to 25) on first come first served
basis. Registration fee in the form of
DEMAND DRAFT for Rs.1,000/- (One
Thousand rupee) is to be drawn in favour of
“THE PRINCIPAL,Panimalar Engineering
College, Chennai and no TA/DA/
accommodation is provided.
