TRANSFORMER RUBBER CORK SHEET RC70C / RC70C SUPER

Balajicork Grade BRC – 7 (RC70C) is high quality product specially made with clean virgin low
density Cork granule blended with Nitrile / Neoprene rubber which provides excellent oil & heat
resistance and extensively used in Distribution & Power transformer excellent oil & ozone
resistance properties are expected form the gasket material. Where leakage can take 50%
of Transformer life and cost of gasket is less then 0.25% of Transformer cost.

Elasticity is particularly important when gaskets are exposed to varying pressure and
temperature over long periods of time. Rubber this elasticity for long periods of time under
extreme temperature and liquid immersion conditions.

Natural compressibility of cork is combined with the mechanical strength of Rubber to give an
outstanding product i.e. Rubberised which can be applied in those fields where plain cork sheets
have certain limitations with respect to its properties. Rubberised Cork good tensile strength
and a greater wear & tear resistance. However, 5 to 7 different grades of a Balajicork
RUBBERISED CORK is manufactured, depending upon Hardness. Tensile strength & Resistance
to Oil (as it may be required in different fields), still a spe exercised to produce a Uniform.

TRANSFORMER RUBBERISED CORK WASHERS

A number of general purpose sealing washers for

bushings are offered to the electrical industry. These
washers are made for manufactured Synthetic / Nitrile
rubber and rubber bonded cork compounds having good
oil resistance and dielectric properties various sections,
to the IS,3347 specifications.

RUBBERISED CORK STIRPS

As a result and feed back received form Transformer Industry , we at Balajicork have specially
developed Rubberised cork strips specifically manufactured with Nitrile / Neoprene rubber and
rubber bonded cork compounds having good oil resistance and dielectric properties and conform
to various sections, of the IS,4253 Part II specifications. These strips are available in width
ranging from 30mm to 200mm and thickness from 3mm to 15mm. Along with strips Balajicork
offers angles with the aim of minimizing joints and avoid leakage.

RUBBERISED CORK TRANSFORMER KITS

Since the design of the transformer varies from

manufacturer to manufacturer we offer R. C. kits
containing all washers of Rubbercork from 5KVA upto
400 MVA. These are manufactured from our BRC70
(RC70C) grade material and are designed to suit
individual customer’s The advantage of the readymade
kit are:-

a. Material wastage is not there (as you get readymade washers from us)
b. Time is saved (as you would not waste the time in cutting the sheets into the washers and
so on)
c. Convenience to your worker in using these washers (as the kit contains all requisite R. C.
Components to assemble a single transformer).
A good Gasket Cost less then 0.25% of the cost of the Transformer but bad gasket
may consume 50% life of a Transformer. Therefore always use Balajicork Gasket for
Distribution & Power Transformer.
