10. Is the sound coming from the speaker more or less with the 5-meter duplex fiber cable
installed, compared to the 3-meter optical fiber?
- the sound coming from the speaker in a 3-meter optical fiber is louder compared to a 5-
meter duplex fiber.

12. Answer the following questions:

a. Is the sound coming from the speaker more or less with the 5.2-meter fiber cable
installed, compared to the 3-meter fiber?
- the sound coming from the speaker in a 3-meter optical fiber is louder
compared to a 5.2-meter duplex fiber.

b. Is the sound coming from the speaker more or less with the 5.2-meter fiber cable
installed, compared to the 5-meter fiber?
- the difference coming from the speaker using these two fiber cables is barely
noticeable since the difference in their length is not that much.

Conclusion:
With all the benefits of optical fibers, they can still lose energy over distance. The
longer distance it travels the more energy it loses. Though in this experiment, it is hardly
noticeable due to the small difference in lengths of fiber optic cables available.
