Kickoff Scramble - March 2
Play will consist of 4 man teams (MGA members and non-members
welcome) competing in a scramble (Captains Choice) format. Each
team must use a minimum of 3 drives from each player There are no
handicap restrictions for this tournament. Gross and net prizes will be
awarded in each flight. Signup as an individual and the Pro Shop will
assemble teams. Players will play from the tees where their current handicap
has been established. If participation allows the event will be flighted by
handicap and/or by tee. Special Offerings:. MGA members participating are
invited to enjoy a complimentary MGA breakfast in Mulligan’s prior to the
competition.
Mini-Masters – April 5 & 6
2-Day event - Friday & Saturday before Masters week this is a MGA
Member/member or MGA member/non-member event. Two-man better
ball as well as add your team score to a Masters contestant. An annual
highlight is the Mini Masters drawing party on Friday night. Each team will
have a Masters player selected in a random drawing by the Pro Shop or
elect to buy into the lottery for one of the top 10 players. Dinner will be
provided Friday night for participants. This is a gross and net scoring
event.
Burden One-Day – April 19 (Friday)
This is a MGA Member/member or MGA member/Woodside member
event. All play will be from the Burden tees. Sign up as a two-man
team. The Pro Shop will then assign each two-man team with another two-
man team to form a four-man team whose total handicap closely matches
the field. Each four-man team will then compete in18 holes of two better
ball net, using one ball from each two-man team. This is a net-only event.
Founders Cup – May 4 & 5
This is a MGA Member/member or MGA member/Woodside member
event. Two- man tournament where the first day play is nine holes scramble
followed by nine holes alternate shot. The second day is 18 holes of one better
ball net. This is a gross and net scoring event.
The Holley – October 5 & 6
The Holley is a two-man match play tournament. You and your
partner will be assigned to a five-team flight. Your will play each
of the other 4 teams in your flight. If a flight has a bye in it then
the bye match will be played as a match play against par.
Flights will be determined by the total handicap of the two
players on the team. The 8-Stroke rule will apply. Team
members must play from the same tees. Saturday, two 9 hole
matches – Sunday two 9 hole matches followed by a buffet
lunch. There will be a shoot out for the flight winners after lunch.
The Alliance - November 9
This is a MGA Member/member or member/Woodside member
event. Sign up as a two-man team. The Pro Shop will then
assign each two-man team with another two-man team to form a
four-man team whose total handicap closely matches the rest of
the field.
Year End Three-Man Scramble - December 7
Open to MGA members and Woodside members with
the requirement that each team must have at least one MGA
member. Three man event where teams compete in a
“Captains Choice”. Must use four tee shots from each team
member. There will be both gross and net scoring.

MGA Year-End Meeting and Dinner – December 11
This is the annual MGA get-together, election of new board
members, review of the past year, preview of the coming year,
raffle, etc..
