LAND ACQUISITION - THE RIGHT TO FAIR COMPENSATION AND TRANSPARENCY IN LAND AC-
QUISITION, REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT ACT, 2013 (ACT NO.30 OF 2013) - APPOINT-
MENT OF PRESIDING OFFICERS FOR LAND ACQUISITION, REHABILITATION AND RESETTLE-
MENT AUTHORITY FOR THE THREE REGIONS UNDER SECTION 52 OF THE ACT - NOTIFICA-
TION - ORDERS - ISSUED.

ORDER:
Whereas, the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and Reha-
bilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No.30 of 2013) has been enacted by the Parliament and
published by Government of India in the Gazette of India 1st read above.
2. And whereas, the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (No.30 of 2013) has been brought into force with effect
from 01-01-2014 vide Notification 2nd read above.

3. And whereas, the Special CS & Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Andhra Pradesh,
submitted the proposals for establishment of Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettle
ment Authority under section 51 and for appointment of Presiding Officers under section 52
of the said Act in the reference 3rd read above.
4. And whereas, Government have issued Notification for establishment of Land Acquisition
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority under section 51 of the Act for the following
three regions vide reference 4th read above:-
(1) Visakhapatnam for Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari
districts.
(2) Vijayawada for West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.
(3) Tirupathi for Kurnool, Ananthapuramu, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa districts.
5. Now, Government after careful examination of the proposal hereby appoint the Presiding
Officers under section 52 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land
Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 in consultation with Hon'ble High
Court.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under section 52 of the Right to Fair Compensation and
Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No.30 of 2013)
the Government hereby appoint the Presiding Officers for the following three Land Acquisition
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authorities:-
(1) Sri V.Jayha Surya, Retired District Judge as Presiding Officer of Land Acquisition
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority for Visakhapatnam Region.
(2) Sri S.Jagannadham, Retired District Judge as Presiding Officer of Land Acquisition
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority for Vijayawada Region.
(3) Sri K.Siva Prasad, Retired District Judge as Presiding Officer of Land Acquisition
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority for Tirupathi Region.
2) The Presiding Officers of the said authorities will exercise jurisdiction, powers conferred
on it under the said Act for the districts mentioned at para-4 above.
