FEAST OF THE NATIVITY: The Glorious Birth of Our
Savior Jesus Christ will be celebrated on Monday, January 7th. Please make an effort to join us for this beautiful Feast Day of our Orthodox Faith. The parish clergy extend our best wishes for a wonderful feast day and that our Newborn Savior will shower His blessings on your families, our benefactors and friends of Saint Mary’s for Many Blessed Years. FEAST DAYS DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY: MONDAY, JANUARY 7th: Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: Divine Liturgy at 10 AM. TUESDAY, JANUARY 8th: SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS: SYNAXIS OF THE MOST HOLY THEOTOKOS: DIVINE LITURGY AT 10 AM. MONDAY: JANUARY 14TH: Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord: New Years Day (Old Calendar) Divine Liturgy at 10 AM followed by Molieben for Good Health, Prosperity, and Long Life. SATURDAY: JANUARY 19th: Feast of Theophany: Divine Liturgy and Great Blessing of the Water at 10 AM. ANNUAL BLESSING OF HOMES: In conjunction with the Feast of Theophany Father John Prokopiuk will begin the annual tradition of home blessing. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to schedule this annual blessing. ANNUAL LUNCHEON FOR THE FEAST OF THE NATIVITY will be celebrated on Monday, January 7th after the Divine Liturgy if the Parish Home Hall. You are all invited to break bread with us and enjoy the joy of this glorious feast. If you would like to donate to defray the cost of the luncheon, please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk. PARISH DUES FOR 2019: This is a friendly reminder! Your parish dues is now due for 2019. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to make your payment of $175.00. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. If you haven’t paid your dues for 2018 please see Matushka Ludmila to make your payment. General Confession will be held on the first Sunday of the month, January 6th at 9:30 AM. It is important that we cleanse our souls of all sins that we have committed either voluntary or involuntary. Please make an effort to attend! It would be extra special for you to receive the Body of Christ in honor of the New Born Savior on the Feast of the Nativity. HEATING COST RISE! Winter is coming! Please make an effort to defray the cost of providing heat to our church and Parish Home! If you find it in your heart to make a donation to cover the high cost of fuel please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk. PLEASE REMEMBER the sick and suffering members of our church who are homebound and can’t make it to church in your prayers. If you know of someone who may be homebound and would like to come to church please make an effort to pick someone up and bring them to church. FEAST OF THE NATIVITY FLOWERS: We are in need of donations to help beautify the church for the upcoming feast of the Nativity. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: The Parish Council will meet on Sunday January 27th after the Divine Liturgy. All Parish Council must be in attendance. Please plan your schedules accordingly. FUTURE DATES TO KEEP IN MIND: FEBRUARY 17TH: Auditing Committee will meet after the Divine Liturgy. FEBRUARY 24TH: Annual Yearly Parish Meeting will be held after the Divine Liturgy.
