Die thermische Abfallbehandlungsanlage Astria
Bordeaux, welche in unmittelbarer Nähe der weltbe-
rühmten Weinkulturen liegt, besteht aus drei Ver-
brennungslinien und erfüllt höchste Umweltanforde-
rungen.
Die Anlage wurde im Sommer 1998 in Betrieb ge-
nommen. Die aus dem Abfall gewonnene Energie
wird zur Stromerzeugung genutzt. Es wurden um-
fangreiche Computermodellierungen der Geschwin-
digkeiten und Temperaturen der Abgase in der Nach-
brennkammer vorgenommen. Durch deren sorg-
fältige Abstimmung auf die Verbrennungscharakte-
ristik des MARTIN Horizontal-Rostes wird die hohe
Ausbrandgüte der Abgase garantiert.
The Astria Bordeaux Waste-to-Energy plant with its
three combustion lines is situated in the world-
famous wine producing region of Bordeaux in France
and fulfills very stringent environmental require-
ments.
The plant went into operation in summer 1998. The
energy recovered from waste is used to generate
electricity. Detailed computer-aided modelling of the
flue gas velocities and temperatures in the post-
combustion chamber was carried out. These were
carefully matched to the combustion characteristics
of the MARTIN horizontal grate in order to ensure
highly efficient burnout of the flue gases.
