All drawings, calculations and documents shall be written in English.

1.3. Units of Measurement

Units of measurement in design shall be in SI Systems.

2. DESIGN CONDITION

2.1 Local Condition

The site is located in Central Kalimantan.

2.2. Design Condition

This calculation use two design condition :
a) Static Condition
b) Peak (Seismic Condition)

3. MATERIAL PROPERTIES AND ALLOWABLE STRENGTH

3.1. Concrete

3.3. Soil Support

Spring constant from soil on Boiler Location is 83000 kN/m3

3.4. Bearing Capacity

Foundation bearing capacity for spun pile D400 is 400 kN.

4. STRUCTURAL DESIGN

4.1. General
The foundation of Dry Coal Yard is supported by Slab with 250 mm thickness and Spun pile
D400.
The foundation shall be designed to carry pedestal load and necessary loads required by local
building code shall be considered.

4.2. Modeling
The model of the foundation is contain concrete structure. The slab concrete are modelized as
two type, flexible slab and stiff slab.

4.3. Method of Analysis

The foundation design shall be in accordance with the ultimate strength method for concrete
structures as specified in ACI 318 specification.

4.4. Analysis Software

The Foundation of Boiler is analyzed by using SAFE 12.2.0 and SAP 2000 ver. 17.1.1.

5. LOAD AND COMBINATION

5.1. Loading Data for Slab

5.1.1 Dead Load
The actual weights of materials shall be used for the purposes of the structural design.
Dead loads include:
a. Self weight of materials:
o Steel = 7.85 kN/m3
o Concrete (reinforced) = 2.40 kN/m3
b. Other Dead load :
o Finishing = 1.20 kN/m2

5.1.2 Live Load

Coal fill load on top of slab 65 kPa.

5.1.3 Superimposed Dead Load

Wall Self Weight :
Hwall =1m
γc = 24 kN/m3
0.2+0.4
Awall section =( ) ×1
2
= 0.3 m2
SW wall = γc × Awall section
= 24 × 0.3
= 7.2 kN/m

5.2. Load Combination

For geotechnical need, load combination used in this calculation are :
1. For design of concrete structure
