Welcome to the products of the Shanhu Group!

This manual is written to facilitate the user and the actual personnel to better

operate and repair the PE series. Please read this manual carefully before using the

unit and maintain and use it according to the regulations.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the “SHANHU” brand PE900×1200 jaw

crusher and fully exert its proper performance, users must read the manual

carefully before use and use and maintain it according to the regulations.

1. Use of the machine

The machine is simple in structure, reliable in operation, easy to use and maintain,

and is mainly suitable for coarse crushing of stone ore. Process a variety of ores and

rocks with a particle size within 800 mm and a strength within 250 MPa.

The production capacity of the crusher is affected by many factors, such as the feed

stock’s nature, shape, particle size, feeding mode, working conditions,

etc.Limestone is easy to break, while hard, spherical materials are not easy to be

broken, which naturally reduces the processing capacity; large materials tend to

block the feed port; Feedstocks of different size can achieve higher production

capacity than uniform size feedstocks; the mixing of the material into the mud will

also reduce the production capacity of the equipment; the performance parameters

of the machine calibration are based on the broken medium hardness rock.

3. Structure brief

This machine is mainly composed of parts such as frame, moving jaw, eccentric

shaft, tooth plate, bracket, adjusting seat and so on. (As shown in figure 1). The

motor drives the eccentric shaft through the pulley through the V-belt to

reciprocate the movable jaw. Thereby, the material entering the crushing chamber

is broken, and the material is discharged from the discharging port after the

crushing.

The frame is a single integral cast steel structure, the front wall is equipped with a

fixed tooth plate fastened with wedges, the left and right side walls of the crusher

frame are provided with guard panels to prevent the side wall from being worn out.

The movable jaw is a shaped casting structure is provided on the face of the

movable tooth plate, the upper part of the eccentric shaft and self-aligning bearing

hanging on the rack, the lower support plate in the elbow, and rolling contact with

the bracket.

The moving jaw is a formed steel casting structure,the front side is equipped with a

movable jaw plate,the upper part is suspended from the frame by an eccentric shaft

and a self-aligning bearing, the lower part is supported on the bracket and is in

rolling contact with the bracket.

The other end of the bracket is supported on the adjustment seat and is in rolling

contact therewith, in addition to supporting the moving jaw, the bracket is

operated according to a certain movement trajectory, in the case where a foreign

object that cannot be broken from the outside enters the crushing chamber and a

load surge occurs,It acts as an insurance, that is, it breaks rapidly, cuts off the load,

and protects other parts from damage.

The adjustment seat is fixed on the ear seat on both sides of the rack, adjusting the

wedge locking structure at both ends of the bottom of the adjusting seat, rotate

the adjusting bolt to open the adjustment seat, change the width of the gasket to

adjust the width of the discharge opening, Thereby obtaining the desired product

particle size.

The tension spring device is used to ensure that the moving jaw, the bracket and

the adjusting seat are closely coupled with each other, make the crusher operate

normally, the spring pressure should not be too large when the crusher is working,

as long as it can eliminate the impact sound between the bracket and the moving

jaw and the adjusting seat.

The eccentric shaft is made of high quality and high strength forged steel ， after

many precision machining, heat treatment and flaw detection, therefore, it has

enough strength and toughness.

Both ends of the eccentric shaft are respectively provided with a sheave and a

Flywheel.It is mounted on the eccentric shaft by tapping or pressure, and is tight

against the inner ring (end cap seal).The mark on the Flywheel（sheave) corresponds

to the mark on the eccentric shaft, and the position of the eccentric block cannot

be misplaced (See Figure 2).The expansion sleeve is installed as shown in Figure 2.

After being placed, the bolts on the expansion sleeve are evenly tightened, and the

tightening force of each bolt is 190N.

Note: The Flywheel（sheave) is cast iron, do not Violent knock when installing. The

sheave is conventionally mounted on the left end of the machine (as seen from the

feeding direction), and the position of the Flywheel （ sheave) can be reversed

according to the site conditions.

4. Installation & adjustment

The jaw crusher is assembled into a whole from the factory, users should check

carefully when receiving it in order to identify and eliminate problems that may

occur during transportation.

Since the crusher has a large vibration during operation, it is recommended to

install the machine on a concrete foundation and put the cushioning material such

as hardwood or rubber.

The weight of the foundation is roughly 5-10 times the weight of the machine, the

depth of the foundation depends on the geological conditions.The base drawing

supplied by the factory only provides anchor bolt position for foundation

construction, user should design the basic construction drawing according to the

specific conditions of the installation site.

3. The basic discharge trough should be laid with a layer of steel plate and have

sufficient inclination angle to avoid blocking.

4. When adjusting the discharge opening, the tension spring should be opened first,

the bolts should be tightened, and the locking wedges at both ends of the bottom

of the seat should be adjusted, use the adjusting bolt to open the adjusting seat

and insert or remove the adjusting gasket of the corresponding thickness (see

Figure 3). then, the adjusting bolt is returned, and the adjusting seat is pressed

together under the action of the weight of the moving jaw.

5 . Use & maintenance

1. Preparation before starting:
1. The bearing lubrication should be carefully checked for good condition.

2. Care should be taken to check that all fasteners are securely fastened.

3. Check if the drive belt is good, if it is found that it is elongated and pulled out, it

should be adjusted or replaced in time.

4. Check for any ore or other debris in the crushing chamber. If it is, it should be

cleaned to ensure that the machine is started at no load.

5. Check whether the adjusting bolt is retracted, whether the adjusting plate is

pressed tightly, and whether the wedge bolt is tightened. It must be noted that the

adjusting bolt is not in contact with the adjusting seat when the crusher is working.

2. Starting of the crusher:

1. After inspection, verify that the machine is in good condition before starting.

2. The crusher is only allowed to start without load.

3. When starting, you must use a bell or other signal to preview in advance.

4. The starter cabinet is only suitable for long-term work and intermittent start. Not

suitable for frequent operation.

5. The autotransformer in the starter cabinet allows two consecutive starts from

the cold state, with a time interval of 30 seconds between the two starts, and when

the motor is continuously started, the sum of the start times should not exceed 100

seconds.

6. After starting, if abnormal conditions are found, stop operation immediately,

and the abnormal factors must be identified and eliminated before starting again.

3. Use and maintenance of the crusher:

1. After the crusher is in normal operation, it can start feeding.

2. It should be evenly fed to avoid overload or blockage caused by the material

being higher than the broken wall.

3. Under normal working conditions, the temperature rise of the bearing should

not exceed 35 ° C, the maximum temperature does not exceed 70 °C, if it is

exceeded, stop immediately, find out the cause and eliminate it.

4. Before stopping, the feeding should be stopped first, and the material in the

crushing chamber should be completely discharged.

5. After the movable tooth plate is worn, it can be exchanged for the other end and

then used.

6. After the fixed tooth plate is worn, it can be exchanged for the other end and

then used.

4. Lubrication of the crusher:

1. Maintain daily lubrication work to ensure the normal operation of the machine

and prolong its service life.

2. The grease used in this machine can be determined according to conditions such

as temperature and location, lithium-based, sodium-based or complex

calcium-based greases are generally used.

3. The grease added to the bearing housing is 30~50% of the volume, and it is

refueled once a day according to the working time or 1~1 day.
4. At the point of contact between the bracket and the bracket pad, the lubricant
must be injected before the machine is turned on.

6 Notes

Users should strictly guarantee the implementation of the following items to avoid

unnecessary losses.

1. The user should carefully check the main machine, motor and random files

according to the packing list.

2. The machine feed should use the appropriate feeding machinery to ensure a

balanced feed.

3. The maximum feed size of this machine shall not exceed 800mm. To achieve

large particle and small particle mixed feed, do not oversize feed and do not

accumulate feed.

4. The level of the main machine is controlled within 5 mm of the front wall, in

order to avoid the tilt caused by uneven machine load and damage.

5. Each fastener should be inspected frequently, at least once per shift.

6. The lubrication should be checked regularly to ensure that the lubrication parts

are in good condition.

7. The dust on the motor casing should be removed frequently to avoid poor heat

dissipation and burn the motor.

8. The bracket is the safety device for the machine, structure and materials are

carefully calculated by the manufacturer, once broken or worn, the same required

spare parts must be replaced, otherwise it will not protect. Therefore, users are

advised to use original spare parts.

9. If the base size needs to be changed, it must be agreed by the manufacturer.

7. Safe operating procedure

1. The person who operates the crusher must be educated in safety technology.

2. The feeding operator should be fully dressed.

3. It is strictly forbidden to make any adjustment, cleaning or overhaul work during

operation.

4. It is strictly forbidden to carry or move materials directly in the feeding port and

the crushing chamber by hand.

5. The electrical equipment of the crusher should be grounded and the wires

installed in the protective tube.
