INTRODUCTION:

Campus design is the art of campus planning the-

culminating act of those processes and procedures that
give form, content, meaning and delight to the physical
built environment serving higher education. Campus design
thus created can define and celebrate a sense of place,
communicate and institution’s purpose, presence and
domain, and generate an image charged with symbolism.

The concept of space comes into play in both architecture and landscaping
architecture. Within and without a building or group of buildings, the architect
should be creating attractive, inviting rooms and spaces that people will want to
spend time in.

PROMOTER: Central Govt.

SITE EXTENT: 138.2 hectares (341.5 acres)
LOACATION: Langol, Imphal, Manipur
TYPOLOGY OF BUILDING: Institutional Building.

AIM : To design an institution with all the necessary

facilities within the campus, providing a tranquilizing
environment that would encourage the students to bring
out the enthusiasm, scientific discovery and technical
knowledge in them. The natural need of a specialized
institution is primarily to improve the quality of education,
it provides. There are four elements that constitute any
educational instruction:-
1. Students,
2. Faculty,
3. Infrastructure and Academic program
The quality of the education imparted by a particular
institution directly depends on the quality of each of these
four elements and their interactions. The main objective is
to delineate the interdependent relationships among the
above four elements mentioned. Ultimately the quality of
the academic content is the most important but it depends
on the quality of the social, living, work, study environment
of the college or the education institution.

OBJECTIVE:
To design an institution with transitional spaces
amalgamating the buildings and nature together.
To create interactive informal spaces that rejuvenates and
revitalizes the psychological effects of students in the
