 It is misguiding the masses more than guiding them.
 It is being used for inappropriate purposes.

1. No face-to-face interaction.
 Real life interaction is near extinction.
 People prefer to socialize on social media rather than in real life.
 They remain bound to their own self.

2. A disastrous distraction.
 Social media has become a distractive disease which is affecting
teenagers as well as adults.
 People having this distractive disease often end up being rudderless
 It is a career destroyer for students.
 It steals most of a person’s time resulting in reduced productivity.

3. Social isolation.
 Social media is isolating us from the society.
 It is a cause of social isolation which often results in mental diseases
like depression and anxiety.
 Socially isolated people feel reluctant to interact with other people
around them.

4. Social media a source of misguidance.


 People post irrelevant and non-sense content on social media which is
a primary source of misguidance.
 Many inappropriate posts are also uploaded which are a cause of
degradation of moral values.
 Social media is playing a vital role in spreading misconceptions and
fake scandals.

5. Cyber crime.
 Social media have become a platform for cyber crime.
 Details provided by users are often used for identity theft.

 No doubt, Social media has created opportunities for many people but it
swung most of them off track.
 There should be a limited use of social media to avoid addiction and time
loss.
 Administration of these sites should take measures to stop people from
spreading rumors, misconceptions and posting inappropriate content.
 Initiatives and steps should be taken to stop cyber crime.
