The Heroic Qualities of Bill Cosby

● Bill Cosby has many admirable qualities like being funny, enthusiastic, a family man,
playful, and easy to be around.
● There are many examples of these traits found in Bill Cosby, for instance Wesley
Morris stated “America’s dad thats what we called Bill Cosby” this shows Bill was a
family man.
● An example of Bill being playful can be found in an interview with one of his old
teachers, she states “He liked to tell stories and jokes to his classmates more than
he liked to do his schoolwork.”
Tragic Flaws of Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby had a huge tragic flaw, he started to rape and sexually assault women dating
back to the 1960’s. He would oftenly spike peoples drinks with a drug called quaaludes or
methaqualone. This drug is a sedative, and Bill used it to his advantage to rape and
sexually assault countless women in his career. Bills first know accuser named Kristina
Reuhili was at Cosby's house and it was stated that “A talent agent secretary who
allegedly in 1965 when she was 22, Cosby invited her to his home and passed out after
Cosby gave her two drinks. She awoke with him trying to force her to perform oral sex.”
Bill Cosby and his Demise

Bill Cosby’s flaw ended up leading to his doom, this happened because over the years it
was not uncommon for Bill to rape, sexually assault, or sexually harass women that he
worked with or women that he met. As of the year 2018 Bill Cosby has 60 accusers that
say he did acts such as groping women and even raping them. There are many statements
about the survivors and the ordeals, a comment about the case with Autumn Burns states
“An aspiring actress who said Cosby raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in about 1970 after
giving her a drink that made her feel oozy and ill.” Soon after Bill Cosby’s accusers came
forward, he falls from his once amazing tv star status.
Cosby’s Realization

Bill Cosby always knew the consequences that would come to him if anyone told
authorities, but the realization came into full effect after he was convicted. Once Bill
Cosby is in jail he realizes how bad the situation is while he’s in jail. At one point guards
had to take away his shoe laces, his cane, and tie because they had reason to believe he
would harm himself.
The Acceptance of Cosby’s Fate

After Bill Cosby has been inside of prison he realizes something, he is very old and his sentence
is long. When he was incarcerated he was 81 and his sentence was 3-10 years and the average
age for a male in America is around 78 years. With this information known to Cosby, he realizes
and accepts that he will most likely die inside of prison. Something else that has happened with
Bill Cosby recently that he is accepting is that he will not be liked among the other prisoners. Bill
has come to this conclusion because while in prison he was hit it the face by another inmate with
a stale hot dog bun, a news report states “Upon entering the Montgomery County Correctional
Facility, a fellow inmate greeted Cosby with a stale hot dog bun to the face.”

Upon entering the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, a fellow inmate greeted Cosby with a stale hot dog
bun to the face.
Due to this information given earlier you can see why Bill Cosby is the greatest tragic hero of all
time. Cosby demonstrates many tragic hero qualities like having many heroic qualities, having a
tragic flaw, is doomed to make a serious error in judgement, the realization of a mistake, accepts
his fate, and faces his death with honor. Bill Cosby was once at the top of the world while his
famous tv show The Cosby Show, in his recent years however he has been convicted of sexual
assault and also 60 women have come forward with allegations that Cosby had either raped,
sexually assaulted them, or sexually harassed them. Because of the recent convictions Bill
Cosby went from being an idol and hero around America to being in prison until his death.
