Communicators Smartline Indication Meters (RMA 3000)

The Smart Field Communicator (SFC ) and the U275 HART
®
communicator are handheld configuration tools approved
intrinsically safe for use in the field or at control room interfaces
to talk to the Smartline transmitter, to check or change its
configuration, to monitor its operation, to calibrate and to
diagnose/troubleshoot. The Smart Configuration Toolkit (SCT 3000)
is the PC tool version of the SFC.
Fieldbus Configuration Tools
TPS Builder R120 provides a user-friendly PC interface for
configuration of fieldbus instruments and applications operating on
Honeywell’s TPS System High-Performance Process Manager®
R610. When the host system is PlantScape, or if a portable configu-
ration tool is required, the National Instruments fieldbus configurator
provides compatibility across a range of fieldbus suppliers’ devices
for configuring, scheduling, maintaining and even acting as
the communications Link Master for off-line workshop activities.
Chemical Seals
In some processing applications it is necessary to isolate the
pressure measuring instrument from the process in order to
maintain accuracy and reliability objectives. Honeywell’s chemical
seals are specially designed for this purpose.
Analog and digital indication meters can be installed either within
the Smartline transmitter or separately mounted in a Remote Meter
Assembly (RMA) anywhere along the transmitter wiring route.
They give both a numerical and bar graph display of the measured
value together with engineering units and loop status.
Manifolds and Primary Elements
For the isolation, calibration, testing and venting of instruments,
two-, three- and five-way manifolds are available, with a variety
of inlet and outlet port sizes. A large choice of primary elements
is also available, including Pitot tubes, (also as a complete
solution with the SMV 3000), venturi, orifice elements and
laminar flow elements.
Options
All transmitters are supported by a large portfolio of options
and accessories. These include: corrosion-resistant materials;
surge and lightning protectors; piping adapters and manifold
connection blocks; stainless steel tagging; and low temperature
operation (-50°C).

Communicators Sensors and Thermowells

The handheld SFC and PC based SCT 3000 tools fully support
the STT 3000 4-20 mA and DE family members together with the
other Smartline ST 3000, SMV 3000 and Smart MagneW PLUS
transmitters. STT150 configuration is by the SCT 3000 software
but uses a dedicated high-speed/economic cost RS-232
connector. The U275 HART communicator is also available.

Circular Chart recorders, in general, are preferred for batch processes. The circular chart record displays the entire batch operation

SDA
The Software Data Analysis (SDA) package
provides powerful PC based recorded data
analysis of archived information stored on the
VRX180 and UMC800. Data histories can be
displayed and compared for identification of
process upsets and trends. Alarms, events and
diagnostics can also be displayed. Data security
is maintained by converting trend files to .CSV
files for export to common spreadsheet packages.
