OUR TOP TEN

FOR 1967
HIS year, the honour of selecting South Africa's Top Ten soccer players, goes to Mr. George Haddon
T theonproprietor of South African Soccer Monthly. The editor missed the last three months of the season
while long leave overseas. In :choosing' his Top Ten George Haddon has put several things on to the
scales of selection. Such things as: ability, consistency, sportsmanship, fitness and crowd •appeal.
In narrowing down the big field to ten George Haddon singled out Reg Randall, Johannesburg Rangers'
outside right, as the South African Soccer Monthly's "Footballer of the Year"

Scott with Charlton

TAKE THE LEAD!
J IM Scott and Gary Brown,
the Durban City players
now in England can't have enjoy-
ed their football over there
much recently. Fog, snow and

Willie Law is home.......... sleet has been 'the order of the

day. Scott has had a trial with
Charlton Athletic and Brown
with a non-league club.

LOEMFONTEIN City are de-
B termined to build up their
side next season so that if

have a side worthy promotion.
They have had a representative
in Durban looking for player
and Dave Hancock, the United
wing-half, turned down an offer
to move to the Free State as did
Addington junior, "Sammy"

the two big American leagues
