 COURSE OUTLINE
Introduction
Scheduled Waste means any waste
falling within the categories of waste
listed in the First Schedule of the
Environmental Quality (Scheduled
Wastes) Regulation 2005. They are very
toxic and hazardous to environment as
well to human health. Improper
management of such wastes will cause
problems such as non-compliances
and illegal dumping cases.
Hence it requires a comprehensive
knowledge and skills among the
managers in the handling of scheduled
wastes in an effective, safe and sound
manner as well as be always in
compliance with the law.
At the completion of this course, the
participants would gain the knowledge
on the following:
 Effective management and
handling of scheduled wastes.
 Able to identify, classify and
categorize scheduled wastes
correctly.
 Able to implement current
practices in the effective scheduled
waste management
 Able to comply with the
