There are different qualifications of a Filipino Teacher that we must consider.

A Filipino Teacher must


holds a Professional Teacher's License, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education or any Bachelor's degree
with 18 units of professional education units, a member of a Professional Teacher Organization,
undertake continuing professional development and abide by the Code of Ethics for Professional Teacher.
There are also requirements when taking Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET). One must earned
Bachelor's Degree in Education or any Bachelor's Degree with 18 units of professional education units,
must be a Filipino citizen and other requirements as prescribed by the Professional Regulation
Commission.

There are different path that a Professionsl Teacher surpasses. The Beginning Professional Teacher are
those who is 1 to 3 years in the service, Young Professional Teacher is 4-10 years, Mentor/ Master
Professional Teacher is 11 to 15 while Expert/ Sterling Professional Teacher are the one who's in the
service for more than 15 years.

Moreover, all the teacher that I have interviewed reflect a true professional teacher because they are all
already acquired all the criteria of a professional teachers. They also inspire other with their characters.
It is fulfilling job for them especially when their past students become professionals already and got their
dream job.
