MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Majestic Life Church Dance Ministry is to minister to the body of Christ through
creative expressions of worship, praise, and prophesy through dance. The MLDM will use God-given
“. . . a time to dance!” Ecclesiastes 3:4 Page 3
talents to exhibit an art form through which to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, reach the lost,
encourage the hardened hearts, lift the heavy-burdened, and inspire the lost seed towards salvation.
The Ministry will support the mission, vision and core values of Majestic Life Church through creation
and promotion of an atmosphere of praise and worship through dance in a visual form and through the
art of biblical story-telling in dance proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The mission of Majestic Life Church is to minister, motivate, and mentor members to mature in Christ
and maximize their gifts in Him that they might live the Majestic Life!

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION

1. Be a member in good standing at Majestic Life Church, and obtain a Certificate of Membership.
taking the new members class which is held the 3 rd Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
2. Believe in your heart and know in your Spirit that you have been called to Minister to God and
to His people through the creative expression of dance. Those who dance with a clear message
speak to others for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort. He who dances with an
unclear message edifies himself, but he, who dances prophetically, or with a clear message,
edifies the church (1Corinthians 14:1-25).

3. Be willing to empty yourself so that the infiltrating power of the Holy Spirit can fill you in a
manner that it is reflected when you dance unto the Lord.

4. Understand and appreciate the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Majestic Life Church (for
reference please visits www.majesticlifechurch.com).

5. Be willing to surrender your gift of dance unto the Lord, to be true worshippers & praisers that
we may be able to pour into other lives.

6. Represent a Holy Lifestyle in your daily life. (I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. Romans 12:1 )

Note on Prior Experience:
Prior experience, training or talent are helpful, but must be reigned in and brought under submission of
the Holy Spirit to ensure that such talent, training or experience are not used as a tool of the enemy to
bring pride into the dance. One’s heart attitude towards the Lord will be the determining factor of the
level of anointing that is upon the dance. Without anointing, we are “destructive fire”. It is only with
the anointing that we can exhibit the power of God and bring forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit. If there is
no fruit, God’s people will not prosper from the dance.

RESPONSIBILITY TO THE DANCE MINISTRY

As members of the Majestic Life Dance Ministry we will use choreography to present unity in motion.
The power of the Lord is evidenced through the corporate move. So that we may exhibit that power, as
a member of this Ministry you will be required to:

1) Familiarize yourself with the Majestic Life Church Volunteer Ministry Handbook

2) Include Majestic Life Church in your daily prayer.

Praise and worship are powerful spiritual weapons against the powers of darkness.
Christian dance ministries are prime targets for spiritual attack, which may come in many
forms such as illness, discord, mechanical failures and opposition. Intercessory prayer is
a necessity!

3) Cover not just yourself, but the other members of MLDM in prayer; provide support and
encouragement where needed, and at all times strive to display the Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). Galatians 5: 22
– 26.

4) Attend regularly scheduled dance practices.

5) Attend regularly scheduled church services.

“. . . a time to dance!” Ecclesiastes 3:4 Page 6

6) Remember that your body is a Temple and take care of it accordingly.

7) A no call or no show during a complete ministry cycle, dancers will be required to sit out one
month before returning.

REHEARSALS
In order for the Dance Ministry to be effective, the unity of the ministry must be evident.
Such unity can only be evident where the members of the Dance Ministry are of one mind
and are on one accord with any choreography. Attendance at rehearsals is imperative to the
unity of the dance ministry.

 Rehearsals are scheduled 6:30 p.m starting every 2 nd Tuesday after we dance on
3rd Sunday Additional rehearsals may be held as necessary to perfect dance if
not up to proper standards to minister. Extra rehearsal are called only to unite
the team as one and to make everyone comfortable with the dance that we will
be ministering.

 On special occasions, the MLDM will be called to minister during praise and
worship or may unite with praise team to minister in dance while they sing.
MLDM members will be required to attend the Praise and Worship Team’s
rehearsal on the Wednesday after Bible Class to run through with praise team.
MLDM will be notified whenever we have to minister together.

“. . . a time to dance!” Ecclesiastes 3:4 Page 7

by Dance leader Noni Tate.
