Abstract
Smart Trip Sharing is an innovative platform that enables the users to find and coordinate trips with other people. Although a
number of trips and travel facilitating applications like Thomas Cook, Yaatra.com exist, they are run by private corporations which
set the prices, the locations, the routes and all the other aspects of the travel. So this, in turn, is a "take or leave" deal for the user.
Customization will be the pivotal point of our application. The users will be able to customize and decide on each and every of the
above-said aspect. The users can use the inbuilt communication tools to find travel destinations, plan trips and do everything as
they want to do it. This gives a freedom to the users.

I. INTRODUCTION
This application provides an opportunity to the users to create customized trips to various places. When we say customized, we
meet customization of every aspect of the trip like the cost, the route, the stay arrangements, food and all the other tangible aspects
of the trip. Then, the user can share this trip with other users, allowing them to join with him/her. Smart Trip Sharing is an
innovative platform that enables the users to find and coordinate trips with other people. Although a number of trips and travel
facilitating applications like Thomas Cook, Yaatra.com exist, they are run by private corporations which set the prices, the
locations, the routes and all the other aspects of the travel. So this, in turn, is a "take or leave" deal for the user [1].
Customization will be the pivotal point of our application. The users will be able to customize and decide on each and
every of the above-said aspect. The users can use the inbuilt communication tools to find travel destinations, plan trips and do
everything as they want to do it. This gives a freedom to the users. The main aim of the system will be promoting the building up
of a local travel community. The users can interact with each other and create travel plans. Share the costs and travel together. A
wide range of trip facilitators such as location tracking, hiking tracker etc will also be added to the app to refine the experience of
the users.

II. PROPOSED SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

In the existing system, a feature to allow the user to customize the aspects of the trip does not exist, they just provide information
to optimize route based on duration [2]. The user just has to select the trips that are provided by the provider and pay the demanded
sum of money [3]. This also leads to a lack of transparency in the system. Disadvantages of Existing system
– Not transparent
– Cannot be customized
– More expensive to the users
– Filled with Ads.
– Categorized into Free and Premium Membership
The Proposed system is real-time implementation which aims to eliminate all the drawbacks stated in the above. The
system will be built on the principles of customizability, full user control, and transparency. The users will generate an array of
trips which then serve as trip ideas to the new users. The computation is very quick so that the user doesn't have to wait for a long
time. The records are directly saved in database and database maintained for a protracted period of time. Each trip can be captured
in form of photos which will serve as memories to the participants of the trip. This system provides a high level of security for
data leaking, as personal data is involved. Since, all the aspects of the trip, including the cost, are decided by the users, it allows

for a better and satisfactory travel experience. Trip Sharing is an android application which has the following modules to implement
the application.
– Creating a trip
– Joining a trip
– Chat
– Location Sharing
Fig. 1 shows the System Architecture.

Fig. 1: System Architecture

– Creating a Trip: The application will enable the user’s to create their own custom trip packages with various aspects such as
cost, number of people, vehicle etc which can be set by the creating user himself.
– Joining a Trip: The users who are browsing the ongoing trips can join the one that suits them. This will only be possible after
the user has been cleared of all the required parameters of the said trip.
– Chat: Once a user has joined trip, he or she can utilize the fully fledged chat feature to communicate with other members in
the trip.
– Location Sharing: The application also allows the members in the trip to track the driver or other members of the trip during
the actual period of the trip.

III. SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION

Proposed system has been implemented as android application to support different activities of each user. Each user is provided
with login credential to support security. After logging into the system they are provided with menu of options for their activities.
The following figure 2 shows the data flow within the system.

Fig. 2 explains the flow of data within the system; The User can browse through the strips to select the desired trip to join.
The application will show the list such nearby trips. The user can also create a trip of their own. All the details of the proposed trip
should be input into the application. The user is also shown stories from other previous trips, which can help the user to decide on
the trip destinations.
Software application that implements the proposed idea is shown below:

Fig. 3 explains the activities involved within the system. Each User is asked to register through providing his details like Name,
Email, Password, Education details, etc. Once user provides his/her details then, it will be verified by an admin and the information
will store in the database. After storing data in the database, the User will get the message of confirming registration. The User can
browse through the trips to select the desired trip to join. The application will show the list of nearby trips based location. The user
can also create a trip of their own. All the details of the proposed trip should be input into the application. The user is also shown
stories from other previous trips, which can help the user to decide on the trip destinations.

V. CONCLUSION
Smart Trip Sharing is an android application that allows user to create, join, and customize a trip based on parameters such as
location, cost, route and transportation. The user can share this trip with other users, allowing them to join with him/her. Smart
Trip Sharing is an innovative platform that enables the users to find and coordinate trips with other people. This application helps
user to communicate with each other with the help of chat and easily track location with GPS.
