EXPERIENCE:
CHIEF CHANNEL OPERATOR
7 Months
Mackes Electric Inc., Berwick, PA
(570) 854-6902 David Mackes, Owner
In this position I was the Channel Operator in charge managing various avenues of
income for this company. It was my duty to assess all aspects of this business, and to
synergize all resources at my disposal. In my short term at this company, I recruited a
team and led them to fulfilling the outstanding and far behind contracts that had been
taken on before my tenure, I organized and built inventory procedures and material
handling documentation. Also, I completely computerized the office and time keeping
procedures. I also was responsible for generating new contracts, hiring new employees,
managing the outside sales as well as helping to track the financial side of the business.

STORE MANAGER
22 Months
Radio Shack, Hanover Twp, PA and Lewisburg, PA
(570) 454-0869 - District Office - Hazleton PA

In this position, it is my duty to recruit and build a team using my behavioral interview
training, to keep my store in compliance using corporate set operating procedures, goal
setting, training, and growing my associates' skills using my performance management
techniques. I achieved the rank of store manager 11 months from my hire date after being
hired as a manager trainee. I completed Radio Shacks manager program on an
accelerated 6 week course at the top of my class, and also graduated from RS's home
office training seminar at the top of a class of 200 managers from around the country.

DELIVERY COORDINATOR
4 Months
Home Depot, Bloomsbueg, PA
(570) 387-8429 - Store Manager - Bloomsburg PA

In this position I priamarily used a forklift to load/unload trucks, customer service,

telephone, and balanced the computerized inventory. I was literally a personal shopper
that customers with large orders would call. I would design a solution for their needs,
fully aware of the margins of the products that I would suggest, and then I would then
pull the entire order together and schedule a truck for delivery. I would also place special
orders to complete any order that I did not have stock to fulfill. On site customer service
was also part of this job. I left this position to return to college.

NIGHT CREW LEADER

5 Months
Weis Markets, Bloomsburg, PA
(570) 387-6183 - Brian Babrowski - Store Manager

Here I was responsible for supervising 10-15 employees on me 3rd shift stock crew. I
was responsible for taking inventory, ordered merchandise, customer service, and attend
weekly strategy meetings. I was in charge of organizing and synchronizing holiday
promotions, excess stock, and manpower. I was responsible for the top rated store in the
entire company for sales readiness!

LOAN OFFICER
4 Months
Transland Financial Services, Scranton, PA
Out of Business, Branch closed due to cutbacks.

This position consisted of large amounts of customer service, telephone and computer
usage as well as all applicable laws pertaining to the mortgage industry. I exceeded at
generating customers and building a network of contacts, some were multi-million dollar
clients with dozens of properties. Closing refinances and new home loans was key, but
this branch closed soon after I started working there.
RECIEVING MANAGER/MATERIAL HANDLER
4 Months
Crispin Valves, Berwick, PA
(570) 752-4524 – Darren Crispin, Owner
I was responsible for checking in orders of very expensive metals and maintaining
shipping routes from suppliers. I was also responsible for maintaining the entire
warehouse by myself as well as delivering raw castings to the machine shop as was
needed. This position did not pay very well for the sheer amount of work and
responsibility that was expected, so I did look elsewhere for employment. It was
unfortunate, as this was a very good family atmosphere, and was a great place to work. I
learned several things here such as material management, project management as well as
critical thinking under pressure. Several of the clients that we serviced were highly
demanding (US Dept. of Defense), and required perfection in all aspects of
manufacturing.
QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST
6 Months
G&B Specialties, Berwick, PA
(570) 752-5901 – Plant Manager
I was responsible for comparing metal products to engineering prints, magna-fluxing
critical parts, checking powder coating as well as instituting packaging practices. This
position was very short due to the fact that I took my job very seriously, and would not
allow a parts that were out of tolerance to pass, but was told by the shop supervisor to
pass products for shipment that were not correct. Upon my refusal to pass these parts, I
was asked to resign. My name was attached to every product that left that manufacturing
facility, and I would not knowingly send a sub-par product to a customer to be used in a
critical function. The part I am referring to was used for switching railroad tracks, and
would have led to a catastrophic event when it failed.

NIGHT CREW LEADER

12 Months
Giant Foods, Berwick, PA
(570) 802-0595 – Store Manager

I received 4 trucks a week and was responsible for a crew of 8-15 employees during the
3rd shift hours and was also responsible for entire store operation. I routinely ordered
high volume of product, used a computer inventory system and balanced incoming goods
to outgoing goods. I was employed at Giant for 3 months before I promoted to the
position of night crew leader (alternate manager). I was trained in this position to plan
and strategize for large events such as holiday shopping, and how to intelligently increase
on-hand inventory without leaving my store with large amounts of unsold goods.
Holiday time in the grocery store business is their critical profit driver of the year, and I
was awarded several certificates for my ability to literally make the toughest season seem
as if it was not difficult at all and was able to maintain perfect sales readiness. I left this
position after a forced transfer to a larger volume store, due to its great distance to my
home. It was unfortunate as I worked very hard to build my team and my system.

OPERATIONS MANAGER/FOREMAN
12 Months
Patent Construction Systems, Harrisburg, PA
(412) 788-0669 – David Crow – Regional Operations Manager

At 19 years of age, I was responsible for the entire Harrisburg PA/York PA and
surrounding areas for this employer. I would oversee 7-15 employees on job sites and at
the main office/warehouse, as well as give customer support and service via telephone.
The busiest times in this position were the spring and fall power plant outages, and I
would work 16 hour days, 7 days a week to fulfill all of my many responsibilities in this
dual position. I was promoted to this position 5 months after hire, and was never
replaced in my previous position, so I was literally working both full-time positions
concurrently. This was a very difficult position that I excelled in greatly, but was not
compensated correctly due to my inexperience before agreeing to temporarily handle
both positions. When it became permanent, there was no change in my wages. My
inexperience and the pressures made me a bit rash in my attitude, but I have had several
years now to learn how to deal with these situations and stresses in a much more mature
manner.
