GIVE DETAILS OF THE DOCUMENTARY

Released on October 12, 2016, a short historical documentary produced by the National
Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) titled, “Jose Rizal: Sa Landas ng
Paglaya,” is part of the Heroes Documentary Series project that aims to introduce the
story and life of our national heroes. This 30-minute documentary presented the different
views and reflections on the life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal. It gives the audience a more
in-depth grasp of who Dr. Jose Rizal is and what he has done for his country to be known
as the national hero by his fellowmen today. It also described Rizal as a brother, as a son,
as a student and as an instrument of change. The purpose of this documentary is to
answer the questions we have in our past and to further encourage the Filipino’s love of
country to address the challenges of the present.
