Lesson developments
1. Teacher shows the sample sentence structure on the board. (appendix I
2. Pupils are drilled on the simple sentences to ensure that they are
familiarized.
3. Teacher then omitted some of the phrase out of the sentence structure
and pupils have to use their memory to complete the sentence.
E.g : I like to play football on Monday.
4. Teacher invited the pupils to rephrase the model sentence.
E.g : I like to play football on ___________.
5. Teacher uses randomization of name calling and pupils are encouraged
to provide their answer. ( give more time to lower proficiency pupils
and encourage peers to help)
Post –lesson
1. Pupils are divided to pairs and they are given 10 minutes to brainstorm
to create new sentence with teacher’s guidance
