STORM SET TO DEFEND TITLE

The Keuka College volleyball team comes into the 2007 season set to defend its co-regu-
lar season NEAC championship. The Storm sported a 7-1 mark in conference play
while also finishing with a stellar 20-8 overall record.

Second year coach Alena Krug will have to deal with the loss of three of the program's
most decorated players in Nicole Zahtilla, Mary McCall, and Adrienne Hollenbeck.
However, Krug and the Storm will still be in good shape with the return of its top per-
former in senior Jen Shaughnessy. Shaughnessy, a unanimous All-NEAC first team
selection, led the Storm with 302 kills (3.15 per game) while sporting a .384 kill percent-
age (10th in nation). She also led Keuka with 97 blocks (1.01 per game) and currently
sits No. 4 all-time at Keuka with 141. Shaughnessy served up 35 aces and collected 120
digs.

Helping out Shaughnessy on an offense that boasted 11.25 kills per game last season is
senior Ashley Aman. Aman, a three-year starter, finished fourth on the team in kills
(185) and third in blocks (31). The outside hitter also collected 188 digs and served up
21 aces. Aman needs just 14 more aces to become just the eighth volleyball player in
College annals to reach 100.

Senior outside hitter Ashley Joswick and junior libero Aimee Margocs also return to
the starting lineup. Joswick finished with 53 kills and 24 blocks while Margocs led the
Storm with 310 digs (3.92 per game). Margocs has recorded 452 in just two years.

Juniors Diana Frank (20 kills and 40 digs) and Samantha Heath (54 digs) return and
look to crack into the starting lineup. Sophomores Erica Beach (14 digs) and Jessica
Volz provide depth.
