My name is Mike Rue and my wife is Margurite Rue.

We are members of and sent out of Calvary Baptist Church in

Kingston, TN. My wife and I were saved in 1981. God called me to preach in 1982. We both started Bible school in 1983
Mike And Margurite and we surrendered to be missionary helpers in 1984 with Bro AJ and Sister Sandra McClure in Australia. We started

RUE deputation as soon as we were given permission and arrived in Australia in 1987. When we arrived in Australia Bro AJ had
been in a new area for about six months. We worked with him for about a year and a half. During that time the Church
was established and a young man (Bro Brad) had announced his call to preach . Bro AJ turned the Church over to me and
Church Planter he and his family left on furlough. We were with the Church about four years and was able to turn the Church over to Bro
Pastoral Training Brad. The Church paid him a full-time salary and supported 7 missionaries through faith promise. After that we left on
Furlough Relief furlough.

During our time in Australia from 1987 to 2012 God allowed us to establish three Churches. In between our Church
865-399-6351 plants we helped three missionaries and helped seven different Churches. We helped sponsor an American missionary
mdrue7@gmail.com family get into Australia . They worked with us until they went out on their own to start a Church .

In 2010 a pastor in Sevier County TN resigned his Church, divorced his wife and married another woman which tore
the good Church apart. People scattered and a family out of that Church asked me to pray for them that God would give
Sending Church
them direction about finding the Church He wanted them to join. After praying for them for two years God burdened my
heart to start a Church in Gatlinburg TN. We returned August 14, 2012 and had our first service August 26, 2012. We

started meeting in a store front building. The Church has been established and going for six years and now has a pastor

Pastor Jeff Plemons A missionary pastor in Idaho asked me to help him pray that God would burden hearts of older missionaries to come
865-919-8166 to Idaho and help him train young men to plant Churches in Idaho. He pastors Light House Baptist in Payette ID. They
have about 30 people. There are about 30,000 people within a 30-minute drive of Payette. When you leave Payette and
drive north there is no Independent Baptist Church and no true gospel witness for and eight-hour drive. Boise ID is an
Church Planting Base
hour south of Payette and has 250,000 people and no Independent Baptist Church. Idaho State College is in Boise. From
Boise to Payette there is about 750,000 people and only 5 Independent Churches. There is about one point seven million
Lighthouse
people in Idaho and about 30 Independent Baptist Churches. What a tremendous need and a great opportunity to reach
Baptist Church
out to people with the gospel.
1212 1st Ave S,
Payette, ID 83661 God has impressed on our hearts to move to Payette ID and help Bro Steve Hensley train young men to plant
Churches. In the Book of Acts God sent them out two by two. We can't think of a better way to do it than the way God
Pastor Steve Hensley set it up. Some men have gone out west and started a Church but did not have anyone help when they got discouraged

423-618-4510 and did not have anyone to relieve them when they went on furlough . Some got discouraged and quit and some when
stevehensley@lbcpayette.com they returned from furlough did not have a Church to come back to. The people had scattered.

When a man is trained and ready to go out and plant a Church, my wife and I will go with him and his family and help
them until they are confident and comfortable to be on their own. We will then return to our base in Payette and go out
with the next family that is ready to plant a Church . We will also help when missionaries need to take a furlough, so the
Church will not be left alone, and the missionary will have a Church to come back to.

Dear Brethren,

As Brother Mike and Sister Margurite's pastor since 1998, it is with great joy I ask
you to consider making them part of your mission program. Having known them
for over 25 years, and as their pastor for the past 20 years, it is with all good
conscience I recommend them both as missionaries.

In their personal lives they are exemplary, living a holy, separated, and dedicated
life unto the Lord. In terms of our church, they have always been supportive,
involved, and dearly beloved by our fellowship. In terms of getting the gospel to the
world, Brother Mike and Sister Margurite served as missionaries in Australia for 28
years and the past 6 years in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They have always been
faithful to go door to door and house to house to reach the lost. In terms of
preaching, Brother Mike is sound doctrinally and one who preaches the truth in love
with tears. In terms of establishing churches, he will be patient in working with new
believers to see that they are properly grounded and settled in the faith before
moving to a new area. In terms of honesty, Brother Mike will be faithful in giving
God the glory for His blessings, but will never embellish the truth when it comes to
the struggles and disappointments that come to all who seek to serve Christ.

In closing, may I ask you to please consider the Rues for support. I can assure you
that your investment in their ministry will not be wasted.

For Souls,

LIGHTHOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH

Dear Pastor and Church,

My name is Pastor Steve Hensley of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Payette, Idaho. We met
Bro. Mike and Sis. Margurite Rue in 2004 as they presented their ministry in Australia at New
Hope Independent Baptist Church in Spring City, Tennessee. As the Pastor there we were very
moved by the heartfelt burden they had and we took them on for support. That Church still loves
and supports them today.

God has moved us to Idaho to Pastor to use Lighthouse Baptist Church as a hub to plant
churches here in this very barren land. As I will be the Pastor here, my primary duty will be to
train men and to oversee church plants in the areas of what is known as the chimney or
panhandle that is directly North of our church.

Brother Mike has obeyed the call to come here and help us accomplish the great task that lies
in our path. His role will be crucial in following the scriptural model of planting churches by 2
and not alone, Acts 13. As men are called here to plant churches, we will be the hub and send
Brother Mike and his experience with them. When the church is finally constituted and on its
own legs, he will return to us and we will pray for another man and another city.

I highly recommend Brother Mike and Sister Margurite for your missionaries in this work in
Idaho. He is a man of great integrity and would never let you down on the field,

In His Service, and in His Grip,

Pastor Steve Hensley

MIKE'S TESTIMONY

I grew up in a Baptist Church. I heard about Jesus all my life. I made a profession when I was
about 10 or 11 , got baptized and joined the Church. My Dad died when I was 11. When I got 15
I did not want to go to Church. That is not a good sign of a true saved person even if they are a
teenager. Margurite is my childhood sweetheart from 11 years old. We got married when we
were 18. When we were about 28 God started dealing with me. I was really concerned about
dying which moved me to take my family and start going to Church. We started going to the
Church I grew up in. The pastor preached on hell every time we went. I was scared of dying
and decided to find another Church. We were already sending our daughter to a Church about
one mile from our home with our neighbors who had three girls. The young people from the
Church were going door to door inviting people to Church. They visited us and we started going
there. After a few weeks of visiting the Church, God saved Margurite and two weeks later I truly
got saved. We were baptized and attended faithfully. That was in 1981.

Thanks, and God Bless

Brother Mike Rue
MARGURITE'S TESTIMONY
My name is Margurite. Michael and I have been married just over 47 years, thank the Lord. I will start by
telling you a little about myself. I am the youngest of 12 children, I was born in Harriman, TN. I was not
brought up in a Christian home. There was a lot of turmoil in my life because of this. Even though my parents
didn't attend Church they made us go when we could. We either walked to church or sometimes our neighbour
would let us ride with them. To be honest I never did like going to Church because I was so shy that I was
scared to death I would have to read out loud. I always did enjoy the preaching services though. One Sunday
morning the preacher preached on hell and it scared me, I didn't want to go to hell so I went forward, someone
prayed with me and told me to come back that night and get baptised. I didn't even know what that meant. I
went back that night but I didn't get baptised because I saw that the others had brought towels and a change of
clothes. Long story short I was not baptised.

Years later a small Church about a mile from where we lived started sending their young people around to
witness to people. They asked me ifl died would I go to heaven. I in my ignorance said yes. I had been working
in my garden that day and I had on a pair of shorts. Some sign of a Christian huh? We started sending our
daughter to Church there with our neighbours who had three daughters. Michael got under conviction afraid he
was going to die, he told me one day that we were going to start going to church, so we got ready and went to
the Church that Michael grew up in. I hated it. We went there for two or three weeks and we decided to visit the
Church where our daughter was going with our neighbours. I didn't even have a dress to wear so I put on the
best trousers I had and off we went. We only went for the morning worship service.

After going for a few weeks, the pastor of the Church went to Belize Central America with some other
missionaries. I told his wife while he was away that I had never been baptised and when Bro. Jack got back I
wanted to be baptised. The first Sunday service the pastor was back I sat in services and wept, my heart was
beating like a very loud drum, I wondered if others could hear it. At the end of the service the pastor called for
an invitation, I wasn't even thinking about how shy I was any more all I knew was that I had to get down there
to be saved. The pastor and his wife came and talked to me and showed me out of the Bible how to be saved, at
the age of
28, I asked Jesus to come into my heart and save this wretched sinner. I still wasn't sure what all that meant,
except that I didn't feel as wretched as I had a few minutes earlier. I have to say that God was very patient with
me, showing me things that in my rebellious heart I didn't want to accept. I was very stubborn. Well God
started working on me about my dress along with a lot of other things. After a few months I was convicted by a
verse in Deu. 22 :5, I knew that I didn't want to be an abomination to God. God convicted me of my dress that
day and I have never had a problem with it since. If I had changed my dress for Michael or to make myself look
good to others it wouldn't have lasted. When God does a work in your heart you can trust Him to help you
through every aspect that He wants to do. Change was not easy for me, but God made the difference.

I want to say that I thank God that He found this vile, disgusting sinner and made me new. Only God can do the
work in a heart like the one He has done for me. I pray for my lost family, because I know what they are
missing out on, and what their life would be if they asked Jesus to come into their hearts.

Thanks, and God Bless

Sis. Margurite Rue
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
Scriptures: We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired
by God and inerrant, And that they are of final authority in faith and life. We believe that God has
preserved His Word in the Authorized Version, Commonly known as the King James Bible, and
accept it alone as our standard for worship and practice. (II Timothy 3: 16-17; II Peter 1 :20-21)

Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Ghost. We also believe that these three in one are perfect, infinite, and equal in all things
past, present and future. (Deuteronomy 6:4; I Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 13: 14)

Virgin Birth: We believe that Jesus Christ was miraculously begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of
the Virgin Mary, and That He is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:35; John
1:14.10:30)

Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit's work in regard to the unsaved is to convict them of
sin and Unrighteousness, and to bring them into judgment. His work in regard to the saved is that
of spiritual baptism (which is accomplished at salvation), sealing, teaching, and guiding. (John
3:5-6, 16:8-11 ; Ephesians 1:13 ; John 16:13)

Man: We believe that man, in the person of Adam, was created innocent but by voluntary
transgression fell into sin thus plunging the whole race into condemnation and death so that now
all mankind is born in sin and all become practical sinners with their first expression of personal
choice. (Romans 3:23 , 5:12)

Salvation: We believe the only escape from the condemnation of sin and hell is through the saving
blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. When he took upon himself a human body and nature, yet without
sin, and by His suffering, His death upon the Cross, and His bodily resurrection from the grave He
made full satisfaction to the justice of God for the sins of man. The Blessings of this salvation are
given on the grounds of grace to all that believe and confess Jesus Christ as the resurrected Son Of
God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9; Acts 16:30-31 ; Hebrews 9: 22)

Resurrection of Christ: We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus
Christ, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present position for us as Priest and Advocate.
(Acts 1:9-11 ; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25, 9:24; I John 2:1)

Return or Christ: We believe in the bodily, personal, pretribulational, premillennial, imminent

coming of the Lord in the air to receive His church in the clouds. (I Thessalonians 4: 13-18, 5 :9-
10) And that He will come with His church at the Close of the tribulation to judge the living nations
and to set up His kingdom. (Matthew 25 :31-46)

New Birth: We believe in the New birth. All who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born
again of the Holy Spirit And thereby become children of God. (John 1:12-13, 3:3-7; I Peter 1:23 ;
Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Security of the Believer: We believe in the eternal security of the believer. Once a person is truly
saved, he is kept by the same power that saved him, that power being the power of God. We also
believe that we can know for certain that we are saved. (John 10:27-29; I Peter 1:5 ; I John 5:13)

Resurrection: We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the just and the unjust; (At
different times, not a "General Resurrection") the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the
everlasting punishment of the lost. (I Thessalonians 4 : 16-17; Revelation 20 : 11-15 ; John 5:21-30)

The Church: We believe the church is a New Testament institution; unknown to the Old
Testament Prophets ; (I Peter 1:10-11) established by Jesus Christ, who is the head; (Colossians
1: 18) empowered by the Holy Spirit; (Acts 1: 8) and composed of believers of Jesus Christ as
Savior; (Ephesians 2:19-22). We believe the local assembly is self-sufficient, self-supporting, and
able to govern itself without interference from other local assemblies, associations or other outside
groups, secret societies, lodges, or individuals. We believe that clubs and secret oaths, vows,
meetings, doctrines and ceremonies are contrary to the Christian faith and the Scriptures. We
believe they represent a distant religion and therefore practice a gospel, which is no gospel at all
(Eph. 5: 12, II Cor. 11:3-4, Gal. 1:6-9). We also believe that the local church is composed of a body
of born again baptized believers in Jes us Christ as Savior (John 3: 1-7) associated by covenant of
faith and fellowship answerable only to Christ.

Ordinances: We believe there are two ordinances, those being water baptism and the Lord's
Supper. We believe the scriptural mode of baptism is by immersion. We also believe that water
baptism is for believers only and that it signifies the believer's identification with Christ in His
death, burial, and resurrection. (Acts 2:41-42, 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2: 12) The Lord's
Supper is the commemoration of the Lord's death until He comes and a reminder of our continual
fellowship with Him. It should always be preceded by careful self-examination.

Separation: We believe the Bible commands us to separate ourselves from sin, sinning believers,
false religious teachers , non-believers, and worldliness. This is to separation and not isolation for
we are to let our light shine before men. (Matthew 5:16, 6:19-24, 18 :15-17; Romans 14:13 ;
Colossians 3:8-9, II Corinthians 6:14)

Satan: We believe in the reality of Satan, who is the author of sin, the enemy of God and God's
people, a liar, slanderer, adversary, accuser, and murderer. We believe that Satan will ultimately
be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Matthew 13:24-40; Genesis 3:4-5 ; II Corinthians 11:3; I Peter 5:8;
Job 1:6-7; John 8:44; II Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 13 :1-18, 20 :10)

Missions: We believe that our lord Jesus Christ gave the New Testament church the commission
to go into all the world and preach the gospel, and since we cannot all go into all the world we
should send the funds to others to accomplish this goal. (Matt. 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, John 20 :21 ,
Acts 1:8, Rom. 10:13-15)

Creation: We believe simply that God created all things. (Gen.1:1- 2 :25, Heb.11:3)

Heaven: We believe in a real literal place called Heaven that God has set aside for those who have
put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus as their Savior. (John 14:1-6)
Hell: We believe in a real literal burning hell where those who die in their sins (rejecting the
sacrifice Jesus made forthem) will go and suffer in torment forever and ever. (Rev. 20:11-15 , Luke
16:19-61)

Human Sexuality: We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be
engaged, outside of a marriage between one man and one woman. We believe that any form of
homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography
are sinful according to the Word of God, and a perversion of God's gift of sex . No man who is in
an intimate relationship with another man or a woman who is in an intimate relationship with
another woman will be permitted to be or become a member of this Church. We believe that God
disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one's gender by surgery or appearance. (Gen.2:24
Gen. 19:5, 13 ; Gen. 26 :8-9, Lev. 18:1-30, Rom. 1:26-29, I Cor. 6:9, I Thess. 4 :1-8, Heb. 13:4)

Marriage- We believe that marriage is ordained by God, and that the only biblical and legitimate
marriage is the joining together of ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN. (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7 :2 ; I Cor.
7 :10; Eph. 5:22-23).
