Symptom Number 2:
Streaky dirty background on print in the feed direction without toner dirt on the Drum nor on the Charge
Cleaning Roller at the line position.

CAUSES:
The following are causes for black lines or streaky, dirty background:

Symptom Number 1:
Either of the origins as follows grows to "toner adherence" onto the Drum surface:
(1) Very tiny damage (some are 10 microns) onto the Drum surface
(2) Sticky abnormal substance (e.g. glue) onto the Drum surface
(3) Medaka (Silica, a component of toner, adheres onto the Drum)

Symptom Number 2:
Toner adheres on the Development Blade because of the oil used on the production line.

SOLUTIONS:
Perform the Clean the Drum Unit Procedure first to see if the issue will resolve without replacing any parts.

 If after completing these steps in User Tools and the symptoms still persist, follow the appropriate
solution for symptom 1 or 2.

Solution for symptom #1:

A bundle of the countermeasures as follows has been applied to PCDU in order to prevent all the causes
(the origins) from growing to toner adherence onto a drum surface:
(a) Applying a Polishing Blade. (Newly added)
(b) Making a Cleaning Blade harder. (Material change of a cleaning blade)
(c) Making the blades (a) and (b) more stabilized. (Material change of a PCU case)
