Handover Details:

ROUTINE WORK:

Services: Coolant Samples to be taken every 1000hr service.Engine oil filters to be cut and be
inspected .An artisan is to carry out backlogs on every service . All sevice jobcards to be submitted
on the day of the service or first thing the next morning.The service board must be kept upto
date.Oil samples to be submitted the following morning.All pending Coolant SOSs are pending
feedback from Chevron before we can act on them.Machine Checklists to be checked and signed on
a daily basis.

Housekeeping:To be done everyday at start and end of shift.All used filters to be taken to the filter
crusher after the services are completed.

Blast Clearance; All Blast Clearance forms to be submitted to workshop Foreman ‘s office by 1400hrs
on blast day.blast clearance to be signed off by 1430hrs at Boom Gate.

ON GOING WORK ON PARKED MACHINES:

DT62:Engine has been fitted together with a re-built damper.Radiator is ffitted as well.There is some
old parts that have been fitted loosely on the machine which might have come from faulty
machines.There could a few problems at startup.

DT228:The fuel pump was removed and fitted on DT231.There is a fuel pump that has arrived in
stores.The transmission has been removed.There is two transmissions waiting to get to Catkom.
Chris is organizing the permits.Bob is busy with one stand he needs to be chased up.The Cummins
mechanic is busy with fuel pump fitment.

DT229:The brake groups are fitted.The hydraulic system needs to be cleaned out.Zuze Will clean out
the tank and steel pipes.This machine will remain on park after completion.

DT226:The engine is still under repairs in SA

DT235:The machine has been from Ultra city to the Workshop .The bowl has to be removed to be
able to remove the transmission.Confirm with Mr Cronje if we are to use the transmission that is at
the Terex Yard
DT120:This machine has recurrent overstroke problems. Komatu have been tasked to troubleshoot
and come up with a way forward.Maphanyane has been given a job card to this effect.When he is
finished he can go back to complete work on Dt62.

PLANNED WORK FOR THE LOADERS:

LDR32:General maintenance.The fuel tank needs to be fitted with a strainer.The strainers


have arrived there are in the Foremans office.The fuel tank mountings need to be
repaired.We need to fix as much oil leaks as we can.There is spares that have been ordered
from Komatsu on PA306745 for the bucket pins etc.Lawrence has got the PA the spares
have not yet been pulled out.They must be pulled out when the machine stops for the job
so that they do not end up in the container.The spares form the scope of work.The centre-
articulation needs to be repaired.The parts are on from Komatsu we need to followup as
some of the parts are overseas.

LDR33:General maintenance.The front brake groups are leaking we need to engage


Komatsu to determine the way forward.the Dogbone has been change

LDR49 :The Bucket and Dogbone need to be changed.The link needs to be line bored.The Dog bone
is being repaired in the boilershop and there is a set of new bushes in the container.The rest of the
bucket spares are in Komatsu stores.Lawrence has got the PA306746.These must be pulled when the
machine comes and be used not to end up in container.
