Post-APF Hanoi ACSC Strategizing and Media Blitz

Solidarity for Asian People’s Advocacies (SAPA) Working Group on ASEAN


Bangkok, Thailand │ 25-28 October 2010

Continuing the previous practice of amplifying peoples’ issues in ASEAN through various
national and regional processes, the SAPA WG on ASEAN together with other networks will
anchor a post-APF Hanoi ACSC process with the following objectives:

 To stage an APF/ACSC contributory process that builds on and/or supplements other


national, sectoral and regional processes this year;
 To have a report-back on APF Hanoi;
 To share various updates and initiatives on ASEAN campaigning, with special focus on
continuing campaigns and newly-started initiatives;
 To strategize towards campaigning in the next year based on the results and agreements
of the APF Hanoi and other APF/ACSC contributory processes;
 To brainstorm initial plans for APF/ACSC processes in 2011;
 To have initial assessment of APF/ACSC processes so far, and how to enhance them;
and,
 To amplify ASEAN peoples’ issues through media interactions events.
