Nemio XG Getting Started How To Guide

1. Starting a New Patient .


To start a new exam press the “End Study” button to remove the previous patient’s details from
the Ultrasound system.
This is important to clear any report data so that a previous patient’s measurements are not
included in the current patient’s report.
Now press the “New Patient” button “F2” which is located on a function key, on the left side of the key board.
The following screen will be displayed.
Enter the patient’s details in the fields and then use the trackball to “click” on the “Start Study” icon.

2. Selecting a Pre-Set.
To Select the required examination from the labeled buttons below the monitor.
If the examination is not on these buttons press “Preset D” and select from the list.
The pre-set will set the imaging parameters such as Gain, Depth and TGC and Doppler settings.

3. Sending an Examination to USB.


Throughout the examination images can be stored to the Hard Disk by pressing “Store” located on the bottom
right of the console. At the end of the examination these images can be exported to a USB memory stick or CD.
These are exported in a windows format so it is possible for you to store these on your PC and/or use the images
in presentations.

To send to the USB device.
Insert a USB memory device into the slot at the front of the machine.

USB Storage

Press the button marked ‘Patient List” on key board (“F1”) and a list of examinations stored on the Hard Disk
will be displayed. Select the patient you wish to transfer and set on ‘DICOM IMAGES”.

Now Select “Image Index” to display images and clips from the study.

Select the images you wish to transfer, or press “Select All” and then click on “Export”.

Select “USB Device” and then “OK”.


When the image transfer is complete, then select “Remove” before taking the USB out of the Nemio XG.

4. Sending Images to CD.

Before sending images to the CD Cache a CD must be inserted into the CD burner. Use the same procedure as
shown above for USB but select CDR/DVD Cache instead of USB Device. This will send the information into a
cache before it is burnt onto the CD.

To burn the CD select “Burn” from the top of the patient list.

The CD will automatically be ejected once the information has been written to the CD.
