CONCLUSION CHAPTER 3 ABOUT SPEAKING

Conclusion from the texk above is the children learn more some things around theirs and their
parents have to helping them to do that, listening is one of tecnique children’s languange
development. So they can be easy to learn more about speaking. They are many kinds step. How to
make a children increase their speaking skill. When in comes to pronunciation if they begin learning
english as a foreign or second leanguage. The expentions for speaking for children should tailord to
their development. Children have a tendency to overgenevalize grammer rules when they are
learning as their native languange and overgeneralization can also accur when a learner takes rules
from his first language and applies them to a second or foreign language. Teacher have realized the
value of connecting real-life situations with classroom instruction and thus have embraced
communication languange teaching. The focus is on getting the messege across and helping children
acquire fluency. In some cases, the language will need to be adjusted to meet the language level of
the young learner. In other cases, the communicative task will require language that the children
have not yet leraned. When the task requres language that is unfamiliar to the children, i either
modify the task or teach the necessary language. If i am teaching children a traditional game with a
lot of steps, i may leave out some of the steps. For instance, if we are playing the game
concentration, i may omit the step that the child who get a matching pair als gets an extra turn.
Children may have trouble pronouncing certain english language sounds. For example, children who
speak some asia language may have difficulty pronouncing the english language /r/ and /i/ because
of the way that they accur or their absences in their native language. A speech therapist introduced
me to the use of mirrors in the young learner classroom. She pointed out that children who have
difficulty with certain sounds often do not know how to form their lips and mounth in such a way as
to correctly articulate the sounds. As caregivers, teachers of young learners must spend time
correcting not only behavior but also errors. If you as a teacher of young learners correct every
single error that children make, you would be utterly exhausted at the end of the day. When looking
at language teaching, it is important to consider the technical knowledge of how people learn
language with the practical, implicit, and intuitive knowledge that is gained through actual
experience. Children can unwittingly drift into their mother tongue and not even realize that they
have stopped using the target language. This is especially true if they have become very excited and
enggaged in the activity. It helps if they know exactly what they are supposed to do so that they
don’t need to ask for clarification of instructions. In the chapter, i discussed some of the issue that
impact children learning to speak in english as their native language as well as english as a second or
foreign language. I discussed ways of blending techniques designed primanily for children learning
english as their primary language with approaches aimed at second and foreign language learners.
Techniques for gently and kindly correcting children’s errors were also presented. Finnaly, some of
the challenges of and strategies for managing speaking tasks in a classroom with young learners
were also presented.
