Problem 1
The network logic for a project is provided below. Construct the precedence network (AON) using this information.
Activities A and P have no predecessors.
Activities B, C, and N must be complete before Activity E can start.
Activity G cannot start until Activity M is finished.
Activities H and K can be done at the same time.
Activity P immediately precedes Activities L, M, and N.
Activities B and C immediately follow Activity A.
Activity H depends upon the completion of Activities B, C, L, M and N.
Activity F cannot start until Activities A, B and E have ended.
The finish of Activities H and K controls the start of Activity G.
Activities P and L must be finished before Activity K can start.
Activity G must follow the completion of Activity A.
Problem 2
Draw a precedence network that will represent the overlapping relationships between the activities of the following project.
After 20 percent of Activity A has been completed Activity B can be started, however, 75 percent of Activity C must be
remaining; 40 percent of the work in Activity B must precede the start of Activity D; 60 percent of Activity B must
remain after the completion of Activity A. Activity D must be completed before the last 40 percent of Activity C can be
started.
Problem 3
Draw a precedence network that will represent the overlapping relationships between the activities of the following project.
When 50 percent of Activity A is completed Activity B can be started. Activity C can be started as soon as the first half of
the work in Activity B has been completed, but at least 25 percent of the work in Activity C cannot be completed until
Activity A is completed entirely. Finally, Activity D cannot be started until Activity B is completed and it must precede
the last 15 percent of Activity C.
Problem 4
Transform the arrow network shown in figure below into a proper precedence network (AON).

Problem 4
The ten activities of a project and their dependencies are given below. Construct a PDM (AON) diagram for the project.
A S
B A, K
C B, H
D H
E G, K
F C, D, E
G S

Problem 6
Using the list of activities that follows develop a PDM and perform scheduling computations. You are required to determine the
project duration and critical path(s) for the project; and ES, EF, LS, LF, TF, and FF for each activity.

Problem 7
Calculate the ES, EF, LS, LF and floats for the network below. Identify the project duration and the critical path(S). Provide all the
activity calculations in a tabular format.
