Notes:
1) Upgrading to i 6.1 or i 7.1 from i 5.4 or earlier releases requires careful preparation. Some product
versions require installation of fixes. It is highly recommended that you ensure your Lotus product
installations are compatible with the new OS level before upgrading. More detailed information is
available here: www.ibm.com/systems/i/software/domino/support/v6r1.html
2) In the cases noted, installing Domino requires special processing to convert programs and service
programs to run on the installed OS level. This conversion may significantly impact product install time or
post-install processing. To simplify product installation or future OS upgrade, installing Domino 8.5.x on i
6.1 (or later) is recommended. See www.ibm.com/systems/i/software/domino/support/v6r1.html for more
information.
3) Support for Domino 7.x will end on April 30, 2011.
