Sir:
Greetings!
I am writing this letter to inform your good office the reason why I failed to attend
my drill which was scheduled on _________ at 10:30 o’clock in the morning.
Although I was informed that my drill was set on ________, I regretfully failed to
appear due to the following reasons:
1. I am working as a Chef Secretary in ____________ (department o kung
anuman) and as a chef secretary, it is part of my responsibility to
distribute passports to our ___________.
2. On that day, on or about 9 o’clock in the morning, I went to the
personnel to get the passports. I began distributing them at 9:30 o’clock
in the morning, on the same day which I usually do since I started
working as a Chef Secretary.
3. When it was about to turn 10:30 o’clock in the morning which was my
scheduled drill, the crews suddenly flocked around me to get their
passports. As a result, I finished distributing their passports at 10:40
o’clock in the morning.
4. I arrived at ______________( kung saan yung drill) at 10:40 o’clock in the
morning and because I was 10 minutes late, I was not allowed to enter.
My failure to attend my scheduled drill was merely because of the above-
mentioned reason and was not done intentionally as to cause delay or
inconvenience on your part. Regretfully, I want to beg the forgiveness of your
good office and undertake to avoid repetition of the same act.

In addition, I would like to implore the forbearance of your good office and to
excuse me for my absence during the said drill.
Positive response from your end is very much appreciated.
Thank you and God bless you.

Very truly yours,

GELLIE ANN D. PRESTOZA
