DIPSA/ DIVISION YES-O 2018

Last October 15, 2018, the division of Siargao holds Division Integrated Pupils/Students
Activities. It was a simultaneous activity done where every competition will have only one
student to represent. This kind of activity gives chance to those students who have potentials.
The Mathematics and Science Department have done a joint opening program last October 15,
2018 at Dapa Municipal Gymnasium with the theme “Imbibing Science and Math Culture,
Sustaining Inventions and Innovations.”

The said one-day activity was maximized by the Department of Mathematics that is why
they ended right on the schedule but for science department, it was scheduled two-days because
there were events that need time in order to attained smoothly and successfully. On the first day
of competition, science individual quiz and environmental quiz were done in the afternoon at
Siargao National Science High School and all the remaining science events were also held on the
same school. The school participants feel anxious because of the pressure they felt but
nevertheless they assured theirselves that they have self-possession. The result for the said
Division YES-O competition was declared on the second day, every student-participant for the
said activity did their very best but in the end the result was quite satisfactory. Only the
students namely Charlene Jeanne E. Ortojan, Kurt Rourey L. Iballa, Rospe Wyls E. Atillo, and
Shiene Karylle D. Patayon from Science Process Skill event got second place. Over all, the science
enthusiast may not be on the top list but indeed they did the best they can do for every event
and they do deserve some recognition.
