OPENING PROGRAM

To our honorable guests, athletes and coaches, fellow teachers, a pleasant morning!
welcome to 2018 Unit meet.

Today, we will see athletes compete in different sports like table tennis, badminton,
basketball, athletics and more. On such a day as today with so many athletes gathered I
want to share the words of a great basketball player who once said “ Just play, have fun
and enjoy the game”.
I can see that all of you carry that spirit.

Will everyone please stand for our national anthem to be led by Rowena B. Montealegre, teacher of
Rincon E/s

Please remain standing for the Opening Prayer to be led by Mrs. Jovie A. Daludalo Teacher of A
Fernando E/s.

It is indeed an exciting day for us as we open this Unit Meet

And now, let us all listen to our respectable Principal of Luis Francisco E/s, Dr. Francita B.
Agustin,, for her welcome remarks.(Thank you very much Dr. Agustin.)

And to give us a message and words of encouragement., let us welcome our PSDS for Unit II –
Valenzuela North District, Mr. Ruben F. Estillero (Thank you for that inspiring message sir.)

As for the presentation of athletes, Let us give honor to our highly esteemed principal of Rincon E/s and
Principal Consultant for Sports, Mr. Rolando G. Corales ,

Everyone let us all rise for the Pledge of players and coaches to be led by Mr. Mike Peter M. Perla player
from Rincon Elem School and Mrs. Virginia O. Baldomero , coach from Luis Francisco E.s

To showcase their talents, let us all witness the Luis Francisco E/s Gymnastic team, under
their coach Mrs.Josephine M. Sultan, for their intermission number (let us give them a warm
applause)

Sports competition is essential to the well-being of the students. Sports instills how to win,
how to accept defeat, how to interact with other people and how to mold them to have
desirable
character traits that are vital in achieving success in the future.”

And now,for the raising of the Unit Flag and School Flags, may we call on all school
principals and our PSDS for Unit II.

Now, we will witness the Lighting of the Torch by Ms.Danica Austria, player from LFES

The torch-lighting ceremony links the modern games with ancient Greece conveying a
sense of continuity and an air of respectability and authority. It also represent a sacred truce
and the flame in the cauldron would burn throughout the games as a sign of purity, reason
and peace

Once again, may we request our PSDS Unit II – Valenzuela North, Sir Ruben F. Estillero to
formally declare the Opening of the 2018 Unit Meet.
