There is an increasing concern that zoos should be banned for

those who claim that animals have rights. Although that there are
zoos that advocate animals welfare by conserving and breeding
programs, there are also zoos that need to be ban if animals are
not being treated properly and solely for business purposes only.
There are zoos today that have pure good intentions of conserving
endangered species and protecting the animals. These zoos that
focus on conservation and breeding programs help increase the
population of rare species such as Pandas in China and Eagles in
the Philippines. Furthermore, these zoos capture animals if their
habitats pose danger to them like deforestation and forest fire.
However, there are certainly zoos that exist merely for public
entertainment and for a lucrative profit it brings. Some animals are
being tortured and exploited whenever they are being trained to
perform tricks. Moreover, some animals are kept in filthy and small
cages and often are neglected resulting in a high number of animal
mortality.
Therefore, in my view, zoos should be a second home for the
animals that need protection and where steps are being taken to
produce a more healthy population of their kind and ban all those
that have cruel practices.
