OPERATOR SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS


1. KNOW YOUR POWER TOOL. Read this owner's manual carefully . Learn the app li cations and l imitations as we ll as
the specific potential hazards that are peculiar to this tool.
2. GROUND ALL TOOLS. This tool is equipped with a three-prong plug; it should be pl ugged into a three-ho le el ec-
t r ical recep~acle . If an adapter is used to accommodate a two-prong receptacle, the adapter must be attached to
a known ground (usually the screw securing receptacle cover plate) . Never remove the ground termin al from the
th ree-prong plug.
3. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered areas and benches invite acc idents .
4. AVOID DANGEROUS ENV IRONMENT. Don't use the tool in damp or wet locations or expose it to rain . Keep th e
work area wel I I ighted.
5. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY . All visitors should be kept a safe distance from the work area.
6. STORE IDLE TOOLS. When not in use, the tool should be stored in dry, high or locked-up place - out of reach of
children .
7. DON'T FORCE TOOL. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
8. USE RIGHT TOOL. Don't force a smal I tool or attachment to do ttie job of a heavy-duty tool.
9. WEAR PROPER APPAREL . No loose clothing or jewe lry to get caught in moving parts . Rubber gloves and footwear
are recommended when working outdoors.
10. USE SAFETY GLASSES or a face shield when using the tool.
11. DON 'T ABUSE CORD. Never carry the tool by the cord or yank it to disconnect it from a receptacle. Keep the
cord away from heat, oi I and sharp edges.
12. DON'T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at al l times.
13. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. Keep them clean and in good working order for best and safest performance.
14. DISCONNECT TOOLS when not in use, when loading brad nails and when cleaning or servicing. Do not leave a
tool plugged in overnight.
15. AVOID ACCIDENTAL FIRING. Don't carry a plugged-in tool with your finger on trigger, when loading and when
not in use.
16. OUTDOOR USE EXTENSION CORDS. When tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords suitable for use out-
doors and so marked.
