Ha. Mim.
The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in
Power, Full of Wisdom.
Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky,
and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in
the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying
shades and [some] extremely black.
But the mystic lives in the full light of the vision: what
others dimly seek he knows, with a knowledge besides
which all other knowledge is ignorance.
Chapter (2) sūrat l-baqarah (The Cow)
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon
[their] hearts?

Is like the depth of darkness
In a vast deep ocean,
Overwhelmed with billow
Topped by billow,
Topped by (dark) clouds:
Depths of darkness, one

Stretches out his hand,
He can hardly see it!
For any to whom Allah

There is no light! 17
Ha-Mim.
The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted
in Power, Full of Wisdom.
Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those
who believe
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of
your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge
Fractal geometry with its self similar patterns in the
Galaxies, the earth, mountains, trees, even in our veins
attest to the same speech by the same Creator, and the
same style of the speech in the Quran with it’s single
verse, appearing in self similar pattern throughout laden
with layer upon layer of new meanings.
1. Ilm (Knowledge)
2. Hidaya (Illumination of the heart ,Allah the Most
Merciful and the Most Kind personal guidance)
3. Quran.
And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in
the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then
force men till they become believers?
.
.
1. Shirk
2. Not remembering Allah Almighty constantly.
3. Not practicing the injunctions of the Quran.
4. Not knowing and obeying the difference between
Halal and Haram.
5. Disobedience to parents and the rightfully guided.
6. Lewd practices, including unlawful sex.
7. Devouring and practicing Usury.
8. Backbiting, pride, conceit, self-projection, jealousy,
hatred, grudges.
For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and
in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of
Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.
A new journey starts accompanied by the Divine Gift of
that self understanding of the Quran on the heart which
purifies all sins, at that moment, starting a new beginning
with the servant praying.
They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from
the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy
from You. Truly, You are the Bestower."
3.
In the way to this discovery or in the journey of seeking
the Ultimate Truth, the seeker finds isolation, unable to
share the moments of this discovery, with the friends
and family, as everyone is given to their own lives and
shortcomings, depending on the psychological makeup of
the seeker and the friends around. It is at this moment
the ability to guide from one step to another, from one
duration to the next, is taken over by the Divine light or
Khayal/Intuition. And the seeker tries to live through
conscious/unconscious effort, as the exegeses of the
Quran, emulating the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam.
At this stage the Divine light automatically starts to
clear the hurdles one step at a time as defined in the
following verses.
Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into
the Pit).
Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide.

personal communication:-
Dear Sir,
Sincerely yours,

Yours sincerely,

And again
‘So in the Islamic view, laws of nature are the laws for
nature sustained by God in accordance with His sunna,
His ‘way’ with creation. The law is the rule and the breach
is an allowed unpredictable exception. This is indeed in
conformity with the stipulations of quantum mechanics.
One final point is due. The laws of physics are, in fact,
our realizations of how the world will act; in no way do
these laws necessarily express the true and actual divine
algorithms. These laws are our algorithms for the world.
Therefore I would say that we are far from conceiving
how the ‘mind of God’ works; we are far from being able
to ‘catch God at work.’
And again
And again.
‘Man may make his way through the vastness of the sky,
he may knock at the heaven’s gate, he may unravel the
mysteries of the universe. He is free to do so. But
ultimately there comes a stage when his freedom and
latitude are instrumental in bringing him a message of
constraint and even the free man who soars high in the
sky is compelled to land on earth and thereafter is
swallowed by earth. We have no choice at the beginning
and none at the end. Only the span in between consists
of freedom. So how much freedom do we have?’
And again,
And say: The truth is from your Lord: Let him, then, who
will, believe; and let him who will, be an unbeliever. (18: 29).
If ye do well to your own behoof will ye do well; and if ye
do evil against yourselves will ye do it. (17: 7).
And again
And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of
everything).52

Dear Shaykh Abdal Hakim,

P.S Kindly do not think I am propagating my self but an IDEA.
Kal¥m was further classified into jalÏl al-kal¥m and daqÏq al-kal¥m. The
former is the part dealing with problems related to the divine attributes,
the resurrection of the dead, and the questions which relate to the divine
knowledge, will, and power. These subjects lead on to the question of human
free will, as held by one school of kal¥m, and the counterproposal of self-
acquisition (kasb) of actions that was suggested by another school. By
contrast, daqÏq al-kal¥m deals with problems of natural philosophy, most
prominent among which is the question DaqÏq al-Kal¥m: A Basis for an
Islamic Philosophy of Science M.B. Altaie Professor of Cosmology and Head
of the Department of Physics, Yarmouk University, 21163, Irbid, Jordan.
cmc papers no.4 - 2 - DaqÏq al-Kal¥m: A Basis for an Islamic Philosophy of
Science cmc papers no.4 briefly through some vital problems where I feel
some genuine research work needs to be done in order to identify the
possible scope for deploying kal¥m in the contemporary science-religion
dialogue. Reasons for the rise of kal®m Historically, one can say that two
basic motivations drove the emergence of kal¥m. The first was internal:
different opinions expressed by Muslim theologians on the fate of sinners
initiated an argument that proceeded to develop into a whole tradition of
thought. For example some theologians suggested that a Muslim sinner is a
nonbeliever and should be considered k¥fir (one who negates Islamic belief).
Other theologians suggested that he should be considered only ‘corrupt’
(f¥siq), a technical middle position which lay between the status of k¥fir and
believer. The second reason for kal¥m’s emergence was the reaction of the
Muslims to the new ideas and thoughts they faced when they came into
contact with different nations and civilizations, particularly the classical
Mediterranean and the Indic. This contact, at a time when Muslims were the
dominating power in the world, created a ‘dialogue between civilizations’
rather than a ‘clash of civilizations’. It is unfortunate and disappointing that
humanity in our time, thirteen centuries after that great experience, now
feels that it exists only in a state of clash between civilizations, as
articulated by the American strategist Samuel Huntington. The two main
schools of kal®m The mutakallim‰n (the doctors of kal¥m) formed two
main schools: the Mu¢tazilites, who were the first to be formed, and the
Ash¢arites. Prominent leaders of the Mu¢tazilite school included W¥|il ibn
¢A~¥’ (d. 748), ¢Amr ibn ¢Ubayd (d. 761), Abu’lHudhayl al-¢All¥f (d. 840),
Ibr¥hÏm alNa··¥m(d. 835), and al-J¥^i· (d. 868). Most of the original
contributions of the leaders of kal¥m have been lost, but some of their of
the creation of the world, its structure, temporal development, and the
meaning of causality. This entails discussions of the concepts of space, time,
motion, force, and many other aspects of the physical world. Using Ian
Barbour’s terminology one might say that jalÏl al-kal¥m could be called
‘natural theology’ whereas daqÏq al-kal¥m is the ‘theology of nature.’1
Despite the fact that the subject of daqÏq alkal¥m has been somewhat
neglected, I feel that this trend has much to offer to the fields of natural
philosophy and the contemporary arguments in the debate between science
and religion, and therefore is well worth studying. It will be shown that
daqÏq al-kal¥m can provide the basis for a contemporary philosophy of
science which resolves many of the philosophical questions raised by modern
physics. Many of the arguments of daqÏq alkal¥m are still living and have
sound value in contemporary science and the philosophy of modern science.
The ‘kal¥m cosmological argument’ which was re-devised by William Craig2 is
just one contemporary example in a whole field of ideas, concepts, and
arguments that could be utilized by modern philosophers of science.
However, the subject is in such a state now that it cannot lend itself to an
effective role unless it is first purified, reformulated and harmonized to fit
the categories of modern philosophy. Much work and painstaking effort must
be expended before daqÏq al-kal¥m is fit for a contemporary role...Dr M.B
Altaie.

moment in this world. This is the moment of the ascents of the prophets, the messengers,
and the mortal human spirits so as to see the imaginal signs of God and gain spiritual
nearness. It also the moment when God descends from the station of Sitting{ upon the
Throne] to the heaven closest to us for the sake of those who seek forgiveness, repent,
ask, and supplicate. So it is an eminent moment. When someone performs the night salat
in a gathering it is as if he has stood half the night."In this hadith
there is a fragrance for him who maintains that the last moment for saying this salat is
until the halfpoint of night. God made the world of imaginalization and the barzakh. It is
the descent of meanings within sensory forms, The meanings are not of the absent world,
because they have put on sensory forms, nor are they of the witnessed world, because
they are disengaged meaning and their manifestation within these forms is an accidental
affair that has happened to the perceiver, not to the meanings themselves. Here
knowledge is seen in the form of milk, religion in the form of a fetter, and faith in the
form of a handle. Among the moments for the salats, the barzakh is the moment of the
sunset and the morning salats, since neither of these moments belong to the night or the
daytime. They are two barzakhs between night and daytime on the two sides, since the
time of night and daytime is cyclic.
That is why God says, He wraps the night around the daytime and wraps the
daytime around the night, from the wrapping" of the turban. Each of the two hidden by
the manifestation of the other. Thus God said, He makes the night cover the day and in
the same way He makes the daytime cover the night. He who performs the salat is
whispering with his Lord" at this moment through the signifiers of God given by the
world of the barzakhs, in the self-disclosures, their constant variations, and the
transmutation within forms, as has reached us in the sound reports.
However, the barzakh reality of the sunset salat is the servant's emergence from the world
of the witnessed to the world of the absent. He passes by means of this odd-
numbered barzakh, and thereby he gains awareness of the mysteries of the acceptance of
the witnessed world by the absent world. This corresponds to sensation when it gives a
form to imagination.
A Specific kind of knowledge by which Ibn Arabi means, a knowledge delivered through
meditation in the magrib/isha prayers from the start of the evening
glow (barzkah between daylight and dark ) to the rise of morning glow Or could be
tahajud prayers only including Fajr.(barzakh again between a dark night and the early
morning).
When the heart is opened up to the proofs of God, by the world of absent ( do not know
what Ibn Arabi means by it, guess the world of the unseen/night time) sometimes by
opening up the pages of Quran, while in prayers, a veil gets lifted. Usually the ayah
opening up there meanings in a crystal clear comprehension, not understood, previously,
only in moments of a nightly vigil. This nearness to God, when a person gets guidance to
THE NEEDS of the moment, I guess means an indication to the direction which he
should travel or move towards in general. Example trying to build a scientific institute or
an Observatory, also containing books and audio visuals giving very clear
message/instructions on the role for Quran and Sunnah. So if we read Ibn Arabi in its
totality means the Isha prayers too, as he mentions it can be read up to midnight. (not
familiar with Shariah/Juriprudence/Fiqh). The meanings of the unseen world having put
on a sensory form.
It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and
the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is
forbidden to be passed.
The viscosity, density and temperatures including the concentration of unsalted or sweet
water containing some nutrients, mixing with the salted of the ocean producing the effect,
producing an interface.
http://www.msc.ucla.edu/oceanglobe/pdf/densitysalinity/densityentire.pdf
"Thus, we use parts per thousand to express salinity). Salinities near shore vary due to the
addition of fresh water by rivers and rainfall. An estuary is a semi-enclosed body of water
where incoming seawater is diluted with fresh water coming from the land. Because of
differences in density between fresh and salt water, salt water will move upstream in the
estuary along the bottom, while fresh water will flow downstream along the surface.
Some mixing occurs at the interface where fresh and salt water meets. This is called
brackish water. Local conditions of temperature and water circulation may also increase
or decrease salinity."
While again in the ayah 23:100 the word Barzagh is used meaning a separation after
death, a spiritual event.
"In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is
but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up.
"As for those who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves,
until when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! let me return [to
life], so I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]. Nay, it is indeed but
a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] is a barrier of
[death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead!
Here again the word Barzagh is used, a separation, humans or their souls will be
requesting/asking to be sent back in order to correct what they did before. It is known by
the Sufia as an interface, where those with the highest spiritual attainment, can cross over
by the Will of the Creator coming back and forth. An Ulul Albaab can see/relate the
meanings of Barzakh, both in the domain of physics and metaphysics.
"Reading the biography of the twelfth-century Andalusian mystic Muhammad Ibn Arabi
helped me understand Mian Bashir's gift better. Ibn Arabi referred to those ' that see with
two eyes ' . He believed that after a process of spiritual discipline somebody could reach a
state during meditation in which
they received direct knowledge from Allah.
I also started to read about Sufism. and discovered there was a whole world of spirituality
about which I was completely clueless. Sufism is too big a subject to delve into in this
book. but these beautiful lines from the mystic poet Rumi reflect what he calls the inner
journey of man, and the ascent of the human soul. People who know about mysticism
will understand about the journey of the soul towards God.
and again,
"I was heavily influenced by the Quranic injunction ' Keep the money you need and give
the rest away . ' It took me quite a long time to understand this. yet within it lies the key
to human contentment. Most people cannot distinguish between wants and needs because
wants can be limitless. I would see cricketers I had played with - some of whom came
from very humble backgrounds - striving to make more and more money even after they
left the sport. I realized that it was out of insecurity. For a sportsman in particular there is
usually only a limited time in which one can make a lot of money. These people were
caught in a never-ending race where no amount of money was ever going to be enough. It
is the same with Pakistan' s ruling elite. Some of our politicians are dollar billionaires yet
there is still no end to their greed. What I realized whilst raising funds for the hospital
was that the unhappiest people are those whose goals are
entirely material. The people who had donated the most were also the ones who were
spiritual and seemed most content. In the same vein. the greatest scenes of happiness and
contentment I had ever seen were in the villages and homes of rural communities of
Pakistan. I have long since believed that the people who are richest are the people who
cannot be bought for any price.
I believe IK is the right candidate after reading more about him, though I was skeptical in
the beginning, by his behavior bordering on rude.

Imran.

Dear Friends,
With the intention of asking him to explain his book, and any
questions raised by this forum. The Self-Disclosure of God, from
which I had quoted, a difficult subject when narrated by the
masters, had sent him an email to help us over in the understanding,
of the fundamentals of Sufism, as given to in the Self-Disclosure of
God. His reply is attached, as choosing the subject from the mid
point, in Dr Chittick assessment I have jumped further/ahead, and
should start at the basics.
I understand this poem of Iqbal he wrote under the name of his son
called "Javed Nama" could be criticized on this forum but attest to
the power of Inspiration or transcendental knowledge, and the very
concept of inorganic/organic matter, animals, plants, birds, and
above all Humans receiving continued "Inspiration".

P.S Dr Chittick had referred to his book "Science of the
Cosmos, Science of the Soul " on the importance of
transcendental knowledge.

Diversity also a source of disbelief for others, who see
reason and excessive science or scientism, as the only

duty and see how close we live in a world where our end
might come at any time in the morning , evening and at all

the day of resurrection. The best location to build one
could be the foothills of Islamabad or Murree.
Years have passed, and ages have gone by, of men and
women, saints and guides, scientists and engineers, but
hardly any generation has taken up the above verses, with
the devotion, zeal, energy, commitment as a community
and as individuals that the Prophet so dearly envisaged,
when he wept the whole night and on being asked at dawn
by Bilal R.A before going for the morning prayers, the
reason of being sad replied. “Woe to anyone who hears
these verses and does not meditate upon it.”
If some have meditated, there is hardly any mention in
our class rooms, colleges, universities, mosques, Juma
prayers and Dar ul ulum.
The study of sciences including physics, biology and
mathematics, philosophy and astronomy had been
undertaken as divinely imperative by great schools of the
Islamic renaissance. Then all went dark.
The study of the heavens and the earth is not possible,
with out the modern scientific equipment. A need arises
for every center of learning to be equipped with a decent

together there financial resources. Weekly lectures
should be conducted by the engineer and scientists for

in the heavens and earth, along with Taqwa as elaborated
by the following verses.

you as a result of my research about atoms this much:
There is no matter as such. All matter originates and
exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle
of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar
system of the atom together. We must assume behind
this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent
mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter”.

Altaie.

Abdal Hakim
Asaalam o Alaikum,
It has been a while have not communicated with you, I keep on writing my
essay on men and women of understanding Ulul Albaab.
Qur'an does render the correct premises in the word, ()اْل َ ْلبَابِ أ ُ ْولُوا
ْ a title
granted by none other than the Creator and Sustainer Allah (swt) Himself,
Lord of the seen and unseen, as the epitome of all understanding, modern
scientism, excludes domains of experience beyond sense perception, limits
human intellect (Aql ) in its search of the Providence. The unity of the
message of Qur'an for men and women of understanding is in essence the
oneness of God.(Tawhid). It is not preordained for it can lead to shirk, but
an actualization of the self or ego achieved in the hearts of the (أ ُ ْولُوا
ْ by the Grace and Will of Allah (swt). The two acts of this Will of
ِ)اْل َ ْلبَاب
the Almighty, the inward (Batin) and the outward (Zahir), the Creator of
things in pairs is reflected by theRuh of the insan al kamil, the divine
vicegerent (naib). As the definition of the word ()اْل َ ْلبَابِ أ ُ ْولُوا
ْ symbolizes.
Leading to the hadith of the Prophet of Islam, ‘Takhallaqu bi-akhlaq Allah’,
‘Create in yourself the attributes of God.’ Fortified with.
1. Tawhid
This (Quran) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them), in
order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is
theonly One Ilah (God - Allah) - (none has the right to be worshipped but
Allah), and that Ulul Albab( men and women of understanding) may take
heed.
2. Hikmah
3. Two kinds of verses in the Quran. A) Have clear meanings. B) Having hidden
meanings or not yet understood because knowledge has not advanced to that
level.
He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or
fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book:
others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the
part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden
meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who
are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of
it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except Ulul Albab
(men and women of understanding).
4. Endowed with Knowledge and Taqwa , without pride, and false ego, choose
the right meaning of the words.
Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are
the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with
understanding.
For Quran warns those who invent false Hadith, or words in the following
verse.
But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge
(or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on
the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.
5. Revelations (Hadith, words of Allah) in the divine book of nature and the
divine books revealed to the Prophets.
Those who remember God, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and
reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): "Our Lord,
You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from
the punishment of the Fire." (Qur'an, 3: 191)
And I pointed out to him have we ever noticed when Qur'an gives an
authentication of women or female as also included in the Ulul Albaab, as my
mentor is kind of patriarchal.
Yusuf Ali: And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them:
"Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or
female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes,
or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or
been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them
into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of
Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards."
Male and Female if we consider the ayaah 3:189-200 not doing a selective
study but in the whole context. Female too are Ulul Albaab, where our Talib
(student back in Pakistan, through all his sincerity misses this point in
Islamic Education.) in the process destroying girls schools.
Do not describe the vision or dream one has but to describe its FAIZ.
But I still consider you the first person in the whole wide world that I
described my vision to the first time.
I have send Zaytuna college and their Dean Mr Mahan Mirza a telescope as
per your suggestion and last month added a CCD camera to take pictures of
the COSMOS. Samawat wal Ardh and our Nafs together forms the
laboratory to see the ayaat of the Almighty Creator. Will inshaAllah mail
them to your when their Astronomy department has a class in the spring
semester only.
Bringing the naming rights back, I have named scientist as Ulul Albaab, in
my essay, which has grown so extensive cannot email it any more.
Dear Shaykh, all this effort also includes Tazkia e nafs please pray for me
to have a pure heart, as the word Lub signifies,if we read Arabic English
Lexicon by William Edward Lane describes as the choicest part or a purified
heart.
But reminds me of Dr Ali Shariati who said a genius throws ideas down like a
pyramid, captured by the intellectuals, who then pass them on to the general
masses.
Though not claiming to be an intellect but just bouncing your ideas. I have
launched a vigorous campaign to introduce the idea of Ulul Albaab in our
mosque and schools around, and writing flyers and handouts to advertise
Islamic Education as also stressed by you, in your lectures.
As, I have also given or denoted books to Pak-Turk school in Lahore, and
trying to build a Radio Telescope in my former alma-mater near Islamabad.
In Arabic language Taa is used instead of Tuu, so using Taa the word

Feeling threatened by the east, especially with Islam and the emerging
powers in China, Russia and Iran, which the west considers as the rise of a
new imperialism and radical Islam.
The years preceding 1492, were the last when the elect of the three
monotheistic faith, had a dialogue in the libraries of Toledo, Seville and
Cordoba,
since Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand accepted the surrender of the
Muslim monarch, Mohammed XII, when a million books by Muslim scholars
were destined to burn, when the edict of the expulsion of Jews went public
on 29 April 1492.
The historical document of the Edict of the expulsion of the Jews of
Spain(1492).
English translation of a portion of the Edict. “…. since the Christians have
engaged in and continue to engage in social interaction and communication
they have had means and ways they can to subvert and to steal faithful
Christians from our holy Catholic faith and to separate them from it, and to
draw them to themselves and subvert them to their own wicked belief and
conviction, instructing them in the ceremonies and observances of their law,
holding meetings at which they read and teach that which people must hold
and believe according to their law, achieving that the Christians and their
children be circumcised, and giving them books from which they may read
their prayers and declaring to them the fasts that they must keep, and
joining with them to read and teach them the history of their law, indicating
to them the festivals before they occur, advising them of what in them they
are to hold and observe, carrying to them and giving to them from their
houses unleavened bread and meats ritually slaughtered, instructing them
about the things from which they must refrain, as much in eating as in other
things in order to observe their law, and persuading them as much as they
can to hold and observe the law of Moses, convincing them that there is no
other law or truth except for that one. This proved by many statements and
confessions, both from these same Jews and from those who have been
perverted and enticed by them, which has redounded to the great injury,
detriment, and opprobrium of our holy Catholic faith.”
We have gathered again, this time in the land where she sent her admiral,
on 3rd of August 1492 precisely, not knowing in 400 to 500 years, all the
three faiths, would be building, their synagogues, their churches , their
mosques with the same vigor as then. God does monitor and records, how His
followers and those of His messengers, perform. Time is of no essence to
Him, and will continue to watch us, as we and our later generations, become
admirals of the universe. A space faring community, destined to carry on the
message of One God, unfurling his flag, across eternity. Our next
rendezvous could be on a distant planet, in a distant star, in forms and
shapes, different, but with the eternal message.
To God belongs all sovereignty over the heavens and the earth and all
they contain.
Time is ripe to sit again, continuing our dialogue where we left. Perhaps we
would need the likes of Luis de Torres (a Christian convert from Judaism,
under coercion, who spoke Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic to mediate our
dialogue), whom Columbus had left behind, to set up a diplomatic mission.
Quran would be of immense, study in relations and the dialogue, that could
take form and place among the people of the book, the west predominantly,
and the Muslim Diaspora.
Here again those who scrutinize and reflect (taffakur) on the rain from the
sky, the meteorologists and climatologists . Those who delve in agriculture
the agronomists. Geologist and geo-physicists, who research, classifying
rocks and minerals by their colors. Anthropologists studying human societies,
communities, and races. Entomologists, zoologists, veterinarians
contemplating (tadabbur ) the behavior of insects, reptiles, mammals all
constitute God servant’s in the study of the Divine book of nature, are called
Al Alamoon, as those truly fear Him.
No just estimate have they made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day
of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens
will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the
Partners they attribute to Him!.
During the appointment, the Lord spoke to Moses. He asked the Lord to
show Himself so that he could look at Him. The Lord replied, "You can never
see Me. But look at the mountain. If the mountain remains firm only then will
you see Me." When the Lord manifested His Glory to the mountain, He
turned it into dust and Moses fell down upon his face senseless. After
regaining his senses, Moses said, "Lord, You are all Holy. I repent for what I
asked you to do and I am the first to believe in You."
This is the first incidence of any soul, trying to have a direct vision of the
Ultimate. The nearest estimate as to His Gory and Might is the story of
Prophet Moses (Pbuh). Quran speaks of the trust, which the mountains could
not bear, Humans in their impatience took that challenge, and continue to do
till the end times, as Co-workers, Vice-regents.
The signs derived through Intellect and reason the exoteric is balanced in
its application, integrating it with the inner spiritual dimension, growth and
movement the esoteric. Quran is very clear and concise on the equal
importance of both. As both being derived from same root Haq (truth with a
purpose) as opposed to Batil (slander without a purpose). Sirat-e-Mustaqeem
has wide connotations one being reflecting and achieving salvation through
the study, practice and deep understanding of the following verses.
Quran.remarks:
And again,
Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the
alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men and women
of understanding.
Those who remember Allah (always in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying
down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens
and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without
purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You
as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.
The lane Arabic dictionary defines the Arabic word Rjis, with different
meanings one being doubt, “they are in a state of confusion and perturbation
in respect of their affair or case”. Or the illness of the heart, in what Syed
Abu Ala Maududi describes as the wrong premises of reasoning in their
quintessential search in to the meaning and nature of things.
And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to
Allah entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Here the speech (thought, knowledge, logic and, reason, of those who do not
understand) or the dialectics of those opposed to Quran, are being
challenged to face the knowledge and dialectics of God the all Hearing and
the all Knowing. It is in reference to these teachings and the correct
understanding, of the Quran that many commentators and scholars of Islam
have very clearly understood and enumerated the role of reason. I would like
to draw attention to a few of their writings. But in he same breath not
ignoring the arguments of the likes of Dr Bertrand Russell , Dr Francis
Crick, Dr Steven Weinberg, Christopher Hitchens, Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson,
Dr Stephen Hawking .The pragmatic way is for both sides to follow what the
later remarks.
“It is no good getting furious if you get stuck. What I do is keep thinking
about the problem but work on something else. Sometimes it is years before
I see the way forward. In the case of information loss and black holes, it
was 29 years”.
And again
“The whole history of science has been the gradual realization that events
do not happen in an arbitrary manner, but that they reflect a certain
underlying order, which may or may not be divinely inspired.”
On this news on the 5th July 2012 “Physicist Steven Hawking admits he has
lost a bet that the Higgs boson particle would not be found. Hawking says
the bet was made with Gordon Kane of Michigan University. 'It seems I have
just lost $100', said Hawking with a big smile on his face, after Cern
scientists announced their findings on Wednesday.”
A man of faith on a journey in search of reality, how ever long it takes once
having been convinced is not following science but a Divine book the Quran.
Science is only a subset, we confuse the Ultimate Reality God with science
and reason. If it took us so much efforts in finding the God particle
(metaphorical sense) that too indirectly, to find God Himself called Laqai-
Rabb the ultimate meeting in the Quran would render us to search and
exhaust the whole cosmos. As some scholars like Inayat-ullah Khan Mashriqi
contend in their translations.
The Ultimate Reality God cannot be seen with our eyes, but by the following.
1. Reflecting on the signs in the heavens and earth in a direction from
the known to the unknown.
And how many Signs in the heavens and the earth do they pass by? Yet they
turn (their faces) away from them!
2
An inner experience through specialized conduct alluded in the
Quran.
Following the teachings of His last Prophet Mohammad(Pbuh).
Referring to the Jews at the time of the advent of Quran, Allah Almighty
mentions them as the people of the Book, who would not understand even
when they recognized it as the truth. Here it may be mentioned some of
their leading authorities converted.
And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with
them,- although from of old they had prayed for victory against those
without Faith,- when there comes to them that which they (should) have
recognised, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those
without Faith.
Let us find the may or may not however long it takes. On a personal note it
took me 40 years to find the may from the may not. The greatest obstacles
being reason, logic and science (free inquiry).Though well versed in the
Quran about its exhortations and dictums in nature. Only the power of Love
broke all the chains and inhibitions. However long one contemplates all the
mysteries in the cosmos, there is no greater mystery then unveiling, the
self-understanding of Quran on the heart of a Muslim, a Sufi, a Momin, a
Muttaqi, an Alim, an Aulia Allah, or Ulul Albab.
A Sufi saint mentions in his book Irfan on the preciousness of each moment
left in our lives.
‘In short, the value and price of this valuable life and its golden breaths will
be apprehended after death, when it is lost and the foolish careless man ,
will cry aloud:--“ Alas for what I wasted in getting near to the God and verily
I am one of the great losers.” Therefore , O dear ones ! think highly of the
few breaths and moment left to you in this world. Even if one of these is
spent in remembrance of God, it is preferable to the kingdom of the whole
world.
“After thirty years of meditation Khaquani learnt the point that a moment
with God is far better than the kingdom of Solomon the Prophet.”
“Our belief is not a belief. Our principles are not a faith. We do not rely
solely upon science and reason, because these are necessary rather than
sufficient factors, but we distrust anything that contradicts science or
outrages reason. We may differ on many things, but what we respect is free
inquiry, open mindedness, and the pursuit of ideas for their own sake. We do
not hold our convictions dogmatically: the disagreement between Professor
Stephen Jay Gould and Professor Richard Dawkins, concerning "punctuated
evolution" and the unfilled gaps in post-Darwinian theory, is quite wide as
well as quite deep, but we shall resolve it by evidence and reasoning and not
by mutual excommunication.”
Quran remarks;
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right
course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut
and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no
break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
The Lane Arabic dictionary describes “Taghut, means the idol called Ilat or
that called
Aluzi, or whatever is worshipped instead, or to the exclusion of God--------
and any head or leader of error and the exorbitant in pride or corruptness,
or disbelief or disobedience, of the people of the Scripture.”
Quran uses its own arguments, with an unimaginable depth, some scholars in
Islam; prohibit reading the earlier texts and their histories. What I believe
is just the opposite, as this book the Quran stresses us to visit far corners
of the earth to find out the truth, whether in anthropology, biology or
history leading to the continuity and understanding of these messages with
increasing conviction. A visit from Jones town, Pa to the Niagara Falls, Ny,
shows the proliferation of nuclear reactors and message of God, the
churches, scattered in the heart of every town and village in the beautiful
valley’s and the green pastures. Science and religion existing together and
the best possible method described itself to resolve an argument.
Fundamentalism, extremism often used in context to revolutions, is a
relative term; my hero can be your enemy. Though hero worship leads to
cults, and the hero starts believing in the concept and in the following
dictum, “If you can do anything you will do it” or ”Power corrupts, absolute
power corrupts absolutely” the sunnat of Allah(swt), is to create diversity at
the expanse of divisions.
Quran argues with statements, not attuned to a western mind like
Christopher Hitchens, or Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson for if they want a testable
prediction.
Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined
together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We
made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
That is because Allah He is the Truth (the only True God of all that exists,
Who has no partners or rivals with Him), and what they (the polytheists)
invoke besides Him, it is Batil (falsehood) And verily, Allah He is the Most
High, the Most Great.
If scholars of Quran, use evolution, as a function of natural selection then
their followers have to expand it into other fields of inquiry. Creative co-
worker(Naib) has to remember what is explained in the following.
Human beings who manage to effect the requisite break through find
thereafter that life’s polarities paradoxically do and do not exist. This holds
for such contraries as matter and spirit, good and evil, permanence and
change, heaven and hell, beauty and ugliness, and agony and ecstasy. In the
end, there is no difference between subject and object, observer and
observed experiencer and experienced, creator and creation..” By Huston
Smith in ‘Cleansing the Doors of Perception’.
Quran professes the merger of thought and action, the study of nature
(free inquiry, open mindedness, and the pursuit of ideas for their own sake)
coupled with practices of Law (Shariah) in the vertical dimension
synthesized by intuition in the horizontal dimension. Both the horizontal and
the vertical dimensions, opening up seen and unseen blessing in the regulating
powers of law (Sharia), Ilm (knowledge) and purification of the Ruh. A three
dimensional effort, unlocking the secrets of the fourth and more dimensions,
where time and space freezes as the tears of this servant of God, who is a
fighter on the battlefield against the infidels, a father par excellence, a
husband devoted to his family, a son devoted to his parents. What we read,
we try to understand, what we try to understand, we try practice; it’s of
utmost importance to realize, that one form of imperialism should not be
replaced with another. If we profess our religion to be the religion of peace,
we should strive for peace and not war for war sake. Having a rare access in
the deepest recesses of human mind, due to social interactions, the internet,
and media, the modern world has come very close, for each one of us to see
and hear, what the other is thinking and planning. In the psychoanalysis of
Hitler, we read.
How can we have a dialogue when our state of minds differ?. When we read
different books. Religions have diversified sects, each interpreting the
Divine books differently. Inayat ullah khan in the dialogue and conversation
that he had with Hitler only could introduce the message of the Quran, in
Tazkirah, which the later read with interest, but who in turn saw
Nietzschean superman as the embodiment of all life.
The late 18th century and the early 19th out of the necessity of the changing
dynamics in the Lands of Islam, produced men of understanding, with a few
women, including the, oriental’s the likes of which the previous generations
of Muslims had not seen. Including Jamal ud din Afgani, Syed Ahmed khan,
Maulana Mohamrnad Ilyas Khandalvi , Syed Sulaiman Nadvi, Mohammad
Iqbal, Inayat ullah Mashriqi ,Syed Abu Ala Maududi, Syed Qutb etc.
No doubt! Verily, to Allah belongs whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever
is in the earth. And those who worship and invoke others besides Allah, in
fact they follow not the (Allah's so-called) partners, they follow only a
conjecture and they only invent lies.
In the domain of religions, things are different with God as the only priority;
the first law is as stated.
“No soul can believe, except
By the Will of Allah”.
Fractals expansion and growth.
The activity of a Muslim to travel the path of an Ulul
Albab is not easy without a Director of Tazkia, this
Director first becomes an Ulul Albab himself and then
guides others. God Consciousness starts with
consciousness and reflection of the self and vica versa,
as Dr Azhar Waheed notes. And again very subtly
observed by Professor Ahmed Rafiq that as with all other
educational endeavors, the search for the Almighty can
result in the help taken from various teachers. As stated
by Ali Hajver taking directions from around 65 men of
learning.

cannot have this knowledge.
“Most objects on Earth (including the human body)

88 chemical elements which are detectable in nearly any

"In other words, human beings can aim for “freedom”
from their environmental limitations – not just physical
limitations, but also social, political, and psychological
limitations. Much more profoundly, they can strive for
freedom from all limitations and all constraints To do so
they need to extirpate what the Buddhists call “the
three poisons” – anger, greed, and ignorance."
Lo Abraham said
To his father Azar:

The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein,
declare His glory: there is not a thing but celebrates His
praise; And yet ye understand not how they declare His
glory! Verily He is Oft-Forbear, Most Forgiving!
Quran schematizes its structure and style with the
following verse.
Quran says

is amazing that the Prophet of Prophets and the leader
of them, one who is respected most among entire
mankind, has to pass through injured and bleeding from

companionship of God, and relationship with God, not
prosperity and wealth’.

TWO QUOTATIONS:
First:
"... We are fallible. We cannot expect to foist our
wishes on the universe. So a key aspect of science is
experiment. Scientists do not trust what is intuitively
obvious, because intuitively obvious gets you nowhere.
That the Earth is flat was once obvious. I mean,
really obvious; obvious! Go out in a flat field and take
a look: Is it round or flat? Don't listen to me; go
prove it to yourself. That heavier bodies fall faster
than light ones was once obvious. That blood-sucking
leeches cure disease was once obvious. That some people
are naturally and by divine right slaves was once obvious.
That the Earth is at the center of the universe was once
obvious. You're skeptical? Go out, take a look: Stars rise
in the east, set in the west; here we are, stationary (do
you feel the Earth whirling?); we see them going around
us. We are at the center; they go around us. ..."

Dr Timothy Winter:-
Read through a Biblical concordance [says Rashid Rida],
and you will never find the word ‘intellect’ [‘aql], or any
synonym for this human faculty which raises human
beings above the entire animal kingdom, whether it be
‘insight’ [lubb] or ‘intelligence’ [nuha]. This is because this
category is never mentioned in either the Old or the New
Testament, since it is not a basis for the understanding
of religion and its arguments and lessons; neither is the
Bible’s religious discourse rationally oriented or based on
reason. Similarly absent are the words ‘thinking’
[tafakkur], ‘contemplation’ [tadabbur], and looking at the
world, all of which are among the greatest functions of
the intellect.

Answer: Yaad has two entities like time, one is suri, and
the other seerati, one of tasawar and the other of
concept, when we remember someone, we remember the
face and the movement of that person, this is purely
based on love, and the other dimension is looking at the
seerat, khayal and Uswa Husna, the Amal of Yaad is
both suraati and seerati, so both, accepting the seerat,
on oneself, so that I might not commit something which
would be in opposition, if my Amal is before the beloved
how will the reaction be.
The other is being getting Hamrang, the dimension of
seerat, which reduces the distance, the distance is
reduced in love, by nature it wants to remove the
distance, the formula is ‘Itaba Kardar’; when one attains
hamrang or Sigbat Ullah only we become Hamrang then
we become close. For otherwise the zahari yaad as in a
mosque does not bring that closeness.Yaad really creates
wonders, starts at surat, then journeys through seerat
becomes Wasal e Mehboob(one with beloved).God does
not see our faces but Taqwa.
To travel on seerat, on the path and seerat of the
Medina Wala, and the path of the Aulia Allah makes you
Hamrang, reduces the distance, Itaba e Kardar e
Mohammadi, as described by the Sufis. Those who say
they want to love Allah should follow the Prophet
Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi. When they become Hamrang
and be on the path of Sigbat Ullah(color of Allah) is
actually the path to Hama Hal. When the standing,
sitting and lying down of a Momin becomes a Hama Hal, a
question of niyah, even he sleeps during. When I went to
do Umra,I fell sleep and felt sad to have missed the
namaz, a Saudi friend came to meet us and while talking
to us mentioned that to sleep in the Haram is sawab too,
so I felt better .So its is all about the niyah, like when
we are in masjid for Ithiqaf, everything is prayer,
whether eating, sleeping but should be Ba Wadhu
ablution, otherwise it’s like a person in a library is looking
at books without Wadhu. The Wadhu of Niayah, for first
thing in namaz is to Ba Wadu and second being Kibla Ruh.
Will the Mohib and Mehboob be together in the day of
Judgment or in Barzakh too, it is also in Hadith pak too,
does it apply to Barzakh also or after. The sangat has
started, Khafi in barzakh and in barzakh the other will
not know who is with whom, in Hashar it will be known,
these are shuhada, salaheen, momineen.

Question: A Murshid?
Question:
Question:
When it is said that time stops in the journey of
Miraj, then does the stoppage of time means, that
the Arsh(throne) and the Maqamat are outside the
domain of time.
It is a difficult topic, from what is known partially, we
cannot state anything with certainty, as the
Umi(follower) cannot estimate the Uroj and
Miraj(Greatness) of the Nabi Pak(Prophet Mohammad
Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam) which is beyond
comprehension. What we have got from the knowledge
handed from generation to generation, is that
Waqt(time) has two Jahatain (entities), one being
connected with space , the horizontal axis on which rest
are usual calendars, and the other being vertical, which is
probably called Dhār. In which although there is depth,
but its is at a standstill called Ana e Wahid (single
moment/pure duration) that dimension of time. Also it is
said since Nabi Pak(Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi
Wasallam)is the Ruh of the Qainaat(Universe)so when
the Ruh leaves the Jasad it becomes standstill. So the
stoppage of time was very natural, since when the cause
of time and events was not there in the Alam Khalq, the
stoppage of time was natural. My grandfather used to
say, that before the creation of India and Pakistan, he
used to sit with intelligent Hindu Jotshi’s, and one a very
capable of them said you Muslims talk a lot about Qiamat
(the end of times). I can tell you the end of time if you
Muslims can give me the, duration of the Miraj, when we
calculate the Qiamat end of the world, as soon as we try
to calculate the time a space comes in between which
hinders and interrupts our calculations before and after,
and it the same space which you say your Prophet
journeyed in Miraj, in which the interval of Miraj took
place. In the Waqai e Miraj shariff it has been declared
with certainty, that the events in time and space do not
work only by cause effect and calculations , now a Zaat is
involved, now the Mansha of the Zaat is involved,
although before that it was according to calculation. We
see in Sura Jinn also that Jinnat used to say that before,
we used to get information from the heavens, but after
the Besaat, we cannot intervene when we try as we do
are followed by a bright Shaab e Saqib, also in the
narratives we find that too, that after the Prophet
Sallalahu alaihi Wassallam came back, the bed was hot,
the chain at the door was swinging and the water for
Wadhu was flowing.
The particles (and forces created in the space-time
continuum are the symphonies produced out of the
vibrating strings of this violin the Grand Cosmos, whether
a scientist arrives at a discrete space-time as the musing
of string theory or no space-time as in non locality, ), this
music created by the violin(its strings) is actually at the
heart of Tasawwuf, it is all about , hearing the tones
coming out of this violin. Tasawwuf is looking at the
whole, that is why the description of a Sufi encompasses
the totality, while that of a scientist being partial. As
Allama Mohammad Iqbal R.A has mentioned in his
‘Reconstruction of Religious thought in Islam’.
If you ask me how I define Miraj Shariff, although
there different Jahatain( meanings), which have been
and will unfold on the ummat, I would like to talk in the
context of Shan e Mustafa, I will say that the Waqai e
Miraj was the declaration of the Faniat e Basheriat. The
complete and outspoken declaration of Fana e Basheriat
. The declaring I am Ana Bashar by the Prophet Sallallahu
alaihi Wassallam.
This could be interpretation of a poet, like me a childish
feeling, Azhaar e Aqeedat (the love of the Prophet
Sallallahu alaihi Wassallam). The Purdah even of Meem is
not in between tonight. Time is Alam Khalq, time is
Takhliq (creation), those who do not consider it Takhliq,
and do not believe that time is created by a Creator;
they consider time itself as the creator, that is why they
are called Dharia(atheist/free thinkers). Because they
see the essence of time and all its great seefat
(properties) appearing as similar with the Divine, time is
everywhere, time is Qadar(power), time over comes
everything, then those who do not believe in a Zaat have
to believe in time as omnipotent, omnipresent, in alam
Khalq the key seems to be time, the key factor, the
code, when time types a command after sometime things
start happening for those who do not believe in a Zaat,
that is why they are called Dahria. When the Jana e
Takhliq will go to Jane e Jana, takhliq will stop, that is
why we say that time stopped. Another thing which opens
up from this question about time stopping in Waqai e
Meraj, is that as in the Iman of Sufia belief of Zaat e
Mohammadi is Barzakh e Kubra, a medium between
Khaliq and Maqhlooq, when the medium is directed
towards the Maqhlooq, with all the faculties of Mazaga
Al Basar or Mataagaa in conversation and in the Qurb of
the Creator when the chain of the door was still moving ,
indirectly proving Barzakh e Kubra, when the Rab gives
Zaat Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi Wassallam is the one
who divides, the knowledge would come divided to the
Maqhlooq of Waqai e Miraj and would be partial,
blossoming with time until Qiamaat.
Question:
Time in the fabric of Taqhliq(creation) is a Tana, and
space is a Bana, first during knitting Tana and Bana
creates the spacetime fabric, when the Dori (thread)
of time is pulled and the thread of time is erased from
the fabric, in the Alam Kasarat(diversity in nature), the
designs and calligraphy in the garden of creation are
ripped. The differentiated phenomena between the
grandfather, father and son is due to time, if it is
removed all the difference between the generations is
romoved ,time has proliferated matter, fashioning
matter, disintegrating in a very integrating way.
To the question is time the destiny of Zaat, this is that
time which we call Dahr. Aima Pak state about this time
is that I am time; it is my Will, the dimension of time
which is vertical. It is not the horizontal or the serial
dimension, which can be divided according to the calendar
and the clock. Dhar is Ana e Wahid (single duration)
cannot be divided, as applicable on Zaat, Jaisa tha waisa
hai (Was as Is), and zamana ko kabhi bura na kaho(do
not vilify time). There are two terminologies involved
when we use serial time and Divine time together. People
say if the time is related with the movement of matter,
if matter stops moving the meaning of time will diminish.
Serial time is used to record change. If time is for
Makhlooq no one will become Dahriah(atheist/free
thinker).
Answer: One person who is not doing the right deeds and
his intentions are good where does he stand? You are an
attorney should know how to interpret a big article ,
‘inamal amalo binayaat ‘To differentiate between nifaaq
and iman’, the same deed, a good and bad deed depends
on intention, not taking about the secular deeds if there
is self-interest involved and the intention is not good,
‘Amal o salahaat’ the ranking comes after amano, after
accepting the Iman, otherwise the chapter of niyaat and
amaal e salaha there is no chapter of niyaah, it does not
exist if he is not accepted Iman, the right deeds come
after no self-interest, listening to music is like driving a
car, whatever work we do is changed to ammal deeds
when there is a niyaah. The word afaal becomes amaal
when the niyah is attached after acquiring Iman. The
chapter of niyah and intention do not exist, otherwise
every activity is a social activity, those who are people of
amano if they listen to music will be alright, after
reciting the kalimah and becoming sahib e Iman, when
they hear the melody of the flute, they interpret that as
the lamenting of the separation. If someone is on the
path of Maulana Rum, will listen to a saaz, will be alright,
when he listened to the flute, he is interpreting the
separation from the beloved, fine for Maulana Rum. If a
person is not on the path of Maulana Rum will listen to
what the emperor Nero would interpret. While Rome
burned he was listening to the flute or the music.
Answer: Yes
Question:
Question: Concept like Balai sabaab in Ilm aur Akhlas and Bila
Saabab what do they mean, can understand without a cause, but
what does beyond a cause means?
Answer: Bypassing the cause, directly or overruling the fauq ul
Asbaab, some time we write for linguistic beauty, does not infer
anything deeper. Without cause Bila saabab means bypassing
cause asbaab, Balai saabab is fauq ul Asbaab, here means the
whole system of cause and affected is done with.
Question: When someone falls ill, has to acquire some remedies or
take medicines asbaab, but can we accept Shifa as bila saabab
from the Creator as without a cause.?
Answer: This life is based on cause and effect, but manifests by
some cause and effect which in itself is not an opponent, but once
cause comes it is itself manifested through some wasala means,
could be construed as desire, mafad if only cause is accepted as
the remedy Love is such an entity when a cause comes in between
love becomes mafad, As Hazrat Ali karaam Allah wajhu narrated
who ever recognized Him through attributes siffat, will
constitute shirk, doing away with marifaat.
