Program Description: The purpose ofthis conferenceis to enhance patient care by establishing and maintaining a
knowledge base. Tha unique program, featuring faculty with an international reputation, has been designed ta update
knowledge and skills in caring for high risk neonatal patients by presenting the most recent advances and controversies i
treatment, research and evidence based medicine. Emergency preparedness for NICUs in North Carelina and how to support
state preparation efforts will also be discussed,
Target Audience: This conference is intended for neonataologists, pediatiatric and perinatal medical specialists with an
interest in preterm and other high risk populations, neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioners, nursing leaders in
neonatology, pharmacists and other advanced practice professionals responsible for the care of sick or prematurely
born infants.
