9th Grade World Geography Syllabus

Introduction
Welcome to World Geography! These last 3 Six Weeks we will be covering Africa, South West
Asia (Middle East), South Asia, South West Asia, East Asia, and Oceania.

Grading
The spring semester will be broken into three six weeks, tentatively; you can see what we will be
covering in these next few weeks in the course calendar provided. Each six weeks will have:
 1 Essay Assignment or Project [20%]
 20-25 In-Class Assignments [10%]
 1 Binder Grade [10%]
 1-2 Exam Grade(s) [30% v 60%]

Students Expectations
Throughout the course of the next 3 six weeks students will be expected to complete all
assignments, projects essays and keep up with their notebook.

Instructor Expectations
As your instructor I will be provide to you a safe and welcoming learning environment contingent
on your respective behavior and participation. I will provide for you the tools necessary for you to
excel however your hard work and effort will be the determining factors of your grade.
