The Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Consulates in New

Zealand would like to take this opportunity to greet our beloved Cebuano
Kiwis on the occasion on the 2019 Sinulog Festival in Auckland. The
Sinulog is both a wonderful religious and cultural festival, celebrated in
Cebu and around the world, with activities led by Overseas Visayan
Communities.

The Embassy and our Auckland Consulate are proud of the annual
Sinulog celebrations spearheaded by the NZ-Filipino Devotees Señor Santo
Niño Trust and the Auckland Filipino Community. We congratulate them
on their exemplary work in showcasing this beautiful manifestation of
Filipino Culture to New Zealand.

The New Zealand Government has recently appointed Mr. Manny

Osmeña as its first Consul for Cebu. For its part the Embassy, through its
Universal Diplomacy programme, is calling on Cebuano Kiwis to further
promote the beautiful culture as well as business opportunities with the
Central Visayas by becoming Volunteer Ambassadors (#VAMBAs) for Cebu.
I had the privilege to launching #CebuDiplomacy last year at the University
of San Jose – Recoletos and the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
