SEQUENCE OF OPERATION – TYPICAL AHU VAV TYPE

Run Condition for AHU:

I. The Air handling unit VSD will energize by HOA to auto mode manually or
network time schedule by operator workstation.
II. A differential pressure switch across supply fan will monitor airflow status.
III. A differential pressure switch across AHU filter will monitor dirty filter status.

Failure Condition for AHU:

I. If HOA to auto mode or network time schedule provided but static pressure is
zero across supply fan VSD fail.
II. If supply fan is turn on and there is no status by differential pressure switch after
45 sec delay. The system will shut down along with Cooling Coil Valve, humidifier
and generate alarm for Fan failure.
III. In case of fire or smoke, the smoke detector will generate alarm and AHU will be
shut down immediately along with cooling coil valve, humidifier and the system
will generate alarm for fire.
IV. If return air sensing low humidity after sending command to humidifier then after
45 seconds a fail humidifier alarm will generate to work station.
V. The VSD AHU on fan motor will initiate alarm to operator if supply air static
pressure exceeds high limit.
VI. In case of high temperature the AHU fan will be shut down and generate alarm.

Standard Operation:

I. Room temperature will be maintained constant as per user defined set point, by
sensing return air temperature.
II. If the humidity sensor will sense low humidity from return air duct the DDC
controller will send start command to humidifier.
III. If in case of high humidity sense by return air duct humidity sensor the DDC
controller will send stop command to humidifier.
IV. Supply air static pressure shall be maintained by modulating VSD on AHU fan
motor.
V. Summer and winter changeover will be applied by sensing supply water
temperature

 The system will show Chilled water supply temperature (Deg. C)
 The system will show return water supply temperature (Deg. C)
 The system will show humidifier status (On/Off)
 The system will show CO2 indication and set point.
 The system will show Smoke and Fire Stat status (Normal/Alarm)
