TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teaching is an art that blends together discipline and freedom of expression. I believe that all
students are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. As a
teacher, it is my responsibility to create a safe, welcoming environment for my students to flourish and
find their passion in order to inspire creativity and exploration. My focus is to create a learner-centred
atmosphere, that is hands-on, interactive and supports deep level understanding of literacy,
numeracy, and life-long competencies.

INTERESTS
Sports: Participate in a wide variety of summer and winter sports including: soccer (year round,
women’s and coed), ultimate frisbee, rugby, alpine skiing, crossfit and weight training, mountain and
road biking, and canoeing.
Other: I enjoy art, the outdoors, and social events. I enjoy putting together floral arrangements,
interior design and planning events.
