 HISTORY OF THE PROJECT
 The total 8000 houses for in situ rehabilitation of slum dwellers comprising
Jawahar camp, Navjeevan camp & Bhoomihin camp is to be constructed .
 The total area of the plot comprising these three camps is 10.59 Hac.
 Originally this work of in situ rehabilitation at A-14 Kalkaji Extn. including
construction of 8000 flats was proposed to be executed under PPP Mode
(Public Private Partnership Mode)
 Later on Hon’ble L.G in the meeting dated 16-09-2011 decided that DDA
should do this work with its own funds.
 The meetings were held and it was decided that initially 3000 flats may be
constructed in the adjacent plots ( measuring 3.068 hectares) earmarked as
community centre plot and the land use may be swapped with an equivalent
area at A-14 Kalkaji Extn. (in NavjeevanCamp/Bhumiheen Camp/Jawahar
camp).
 The scheme has been approved in 318th meeting of screening committee vide
dated 23-01-2014 vide agenda item no 14-2014 for built-up area
127529.80sqm for construction of 3024 DUs, accordingly the work is being
executed at site in four cluster ie cluster-1,2,3&4 comprising cluster-1 -6
towers, cluster-2 – 2 towers, cluster-3- 6 towers & cluster-4 – 6 towers.The
building is of 14 storeys.
 Each dwelling unit comprises of 25 sqm carpet area having one living
room, one bed room, one kitchen, bath / WC and balcony finished with
vitrified floor tiles , ceramics tiles , Udaipur green marble counter in
Kitchen etc. The building is of RCC framed structure.
 There is provision of STP and treated water will be used for flushing in
cistern in toilets and for horticulture purpose . However DJB is not ready
to approve the dual water supply system ( treated water+ potable
water).
